About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

The 5 Best Stories I Wrote Last Year, Chosen By You, The Readers

If you came looking for a new
Post
yesterday
and were a little disappointed that I didn't write one,
don't worry,
I am not going to use the obvious excuse of
"Recovering From A Hangover,"
but.......I was recovering from a hangover!
Today,
since it is the second day of a brand
New Year,
I would like to start an
Annual Tradition.
Since my
5 Best Posts of the Month Before Series
seems to generate readership here on my
Blog,
and we all know it is all about the number of readers who read my
Blog,
I would like to write about;
The 5 Best Stories I Wrote Last Year, Chosen By You, The Readers.
Here is the premise.
These are not the usual
Posts
I write on a
Daily Basis,
but the actual
Fiction & Poetry
I write and put under the heading;
Poetry, Short Stories, Flash Fiction, A Novelette, & A Novel You Can Buy.
So,
without further ado;
Here Are The 5 Best Stories I Wrote Last Year, Chosen By You, The Reader.

The 5th Best Read Story of 2016 is;
Benched
One of my favorite stories that I ever wrote about an American Baseball Player who goes to Japan to play Ball. After playing poorly and complaining about Team orders of giving to a Charity to help Japanese victims of a Typhoon, the main character turns his life around and finds love.

The 4th Best Read Story of 2016 is;
The Infamous Greatest Maritime Disaster In United States History
My fictitious Ghost Story about actual events surrounding "The Steamboat Sultana" where Captain Mason and Lt. Col. Reuben Hatch Killed 1,800 Union Soldiers Just Weeks After They Were Released From The Confederate's Prison Camps Of Cahaba And Andersonville, just so the could bilked the U.S. Government out of a lot of money.

The 3rd Best Read Story of 2016 is;
M3-2
My Sci-Fi story about the disappearance of a Colony and the Spacecraft they were aboard. About a Planetary System in a Binary Star System. About the different creatures discovered after the fact when the Planets and its Moons were thought to be deserted.

The 2nd Best Read Story of 2016 is;
The Refrigerator Hacker
I have said many times on this Blog that any website, any computer, any business, and so on can be hacked, with enough time and knowledge on how code works. Since there is a rise in appliances becoming online gadgets, I wrote a story about someone who hacks into the camera of a Serial Killer's refrigerator.

The Number 1 Best Read Story of 2016 is;
A-L-I-V
I am sure if you have read some of the stories under the heading, Poetry, Short Stories, Flash Fiction, A Novelette, & A Novel You Can Buy, you have come across a story about a survivor of, what the main character thinks is, an EM Field attack on the World. A verbal story of his state of mind when he can't find anyone to communicate with, and what happens once he here the words, "Hello Daniel." It is the number one thing read on my Blog and I appreciate every time someone does. It actually helps to enforce my idea of writing more.
 This is,
Enjoying Writing,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“The purpose of a writer is to keep civilization from destroying itself.”
- Albert Camus -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
