About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

The 5 Best Posts Of April 2016

I cannot,
for the life of me,
believe that it is already the end of
April 2016.
They say the older you get,
the faster time moves for you.
I am not so sure if that is based on anything scientific,
but I know the mind always feels younger then the body does,
and people always see themselves younger then they really are.
So actually,
after someone starts to think themselves as being old,
that is when time is in a hurry.
I actually like my days passing by kind of quickly right now.
It means that I am that much closer to an overdue vacation.
So as not to waste anymore of your life,
here are
The 5 Best Posts Of APRIL 2016!
Throw the confetti!

The Number 5 Best Post Of April 2016 Is
A Post that I just wrote a couple of days ago about, what if F1 Fans acted like the Hooligan Fans of the Soccer World?
Where fights break out all the time between different gangs of fans that follow a certain Soccer Teams.

The Number 4 Best Post Of April 2016 Is
The heading is an agreement I had with a friend of mine about subjects we shouldn't talk about.
I was trying to follow that rule lately on this Blog, but I just couldn't help my self yesterday.
I had to talk Politics and especially about Donald Trump's troubles with protesters.

The Number 3 Best Post Of April 2016 Is
The latest Music Video I made of a song by the Rock Band,
TwoBuckHowie With The Exact Change.

The Number 2 Best Post Of April 2016 Is
Telling how every Sunday, my family and I now go to a different hiking trail here in Southern California.
It also has four links to headlines that I was going to write about, but never had the right feel to do so.
I thought the headlines were too good to erase so I Posted them so if you, the audience felt interested, you would follow the links and read about them.

The Number 1 Best Post Of April 2016 Is
Drum roll please.
My humorous look at how three people from my hometown of
South Milwaukee, Wisconsin can actually get more views to there corny Newscast Show then I can with the release of my latest's Music Video, Original Sin.

There you have it.
The very Best of this month.

I agreed to never talk about Politics, Religion, Women, and Motorcycles.

I have been trying to keep quite about it.
I have been silent because I have my political views
and they might clash with yours.
I am trying to recruit people to this Blog,
not scare them off by pissing them off.
So I remember an old pack I made one day
and thought I should do the same here.
When I was in High School one of my best friends at the time,
Mark Watson
and I agreed to never talk about
Politics,
Religion,
Women,
and
Motorcycles.
The reason being,
we always got into some heated arguments over these subjects.
But I have to say something about the
who is running for their nomination to become
President of the United States.
What kind of bird is on his head?
Donald the Stump
has been in
the last week
and he has been hounded by protesters.
I have a friend who was in
yesterday
and told me he saw a lot of young people heading to the rally.
I feared it was the group they call the
which are prevalent in
But to my surprise,
a lot of them were like minded individuals as myself.

"Police in riot gear and on horseback pushed the crowd back and away from the venue. There were no major injuries and police did not use any force. Earlier in the evening, a half-dozen anti-Trump protesters taunted those waiting to get into the venue. Trump supporters surrounded one man who waved a Mexican flag and shouted "Build that wall! Build that wall!" — a reference to Trump's call to create a barrier between the United States and Mexico to stop illegal border crossings. Seven shirtless women wearing Bernie Sanders stickers over their breasts entered the square outside the amphitheater. They said they were protesting Trump's lack of engagement on issues of gender equality and women's rights."

And they struck again today.
"BURLINGAME, Calif. — Several hundred protesters opposing Donald Trump gathered Friday outside the hotel where he was scheduled to speak to Republicans, and some broke through a steel barricade and approached the venue's entrance. A dozen protesters linked arms to block the road in front of the hotel near San Francisco International Airport, but police had already closed it to traffic. Protesters also draped a large "Stop Hate" banner outside the hotel."

And I am glad to say it started earlier this week.
"Earlier this week, a Trump rally in nearby Anaheim turned contentious when his supporters and protesters clashed, and several people were hit by pepper spray. Trump was not present." By Gillian Flaccus and Amy Taxin for Associated Press on MSN News
I remember another candidate from the 1970s who campaigned like
Donald Trump
does.
This candidate said he wasn't a
insider
and if he got elected he was going to make some big changes in that town.
He ran as a

When he became
President,
nobody would work with him because he pissed everyone off.
That was
President Jimmy Carter.
No
President

Our
Government
doesn't work that way.
It takes a lot of cooperation between many branches of the
Government
to get things done.
We don't leave it all up to one person to make all the decisions.
That is why this is a

and why it takes so long to get things done.

What If Hooligan F1 Fans Of Kimi Raikkonen Clashed With Rival Hooligan Fans Of Valtteri Bottas?

I had a dream last night.
Or should I say,
a nightmare.
If you have been reading my
Blog
for any length of time you will know that my favorite sport in the World
is
You could say that I am passionate about the sport.
It is also a sport loved
World Wide
from fans of every nationality.
What is the most beloved sport in the
World Though?
The World's most watched event?
The World Cup.
Just imagine,
if the fervent passion that the
Country of Argentina
has for its
Soccer Teams
crossed over to
Formula 1
A little history of soccer in
They call it
Football Hooliganism.
Gangs
that form around their favorite local teams.
And like all
Gangs
from any country in the
World,
these guys are involved in
drugs,
guns,
and the
selling of counterfeit contraband.
Source?
The first killing related to a soccer event,
around an
Argentina Team
was on November 2nd, 1924 in
Uruguay.
Between fans from both side.
One
Uruguayan Fan
was killed for siding with his team's victory.
The worst indecent was in 1964 when more than
300 Football Fans Died
and another
500 Were Injured
in
after a match between the
Country's National Teams.
What do you think would happen if we had the same situation in
Formula 1?
If
Hooligan F1 Fans
of
clashed with rival
Hooligan Fans
of
after
Raikkonen & Bottas
clashed,
say in the
Russian Grand Prix?
If
is taken out at the first turn of the
Russian Grand Prix
by
The
Hooligans
would come out from the stands
and rush the track in the middle of the race.
Or if
takes out his only rival
The
Tirad Gang of Indonesia
might want to have a talk with
Pascal.
Thank goodness
F1 Fans
are more sophisticated,
have better manners,
and just like taking in the sights at the race track.

Poetry, Short Stories, Flash Fiction, A Novelette, & A Novel You Can Buy

Today is the anniversary of the

disaster of 1865.
The

And
Andersonville.
I was so moved by this story that I wrote a Ghost story about it.

The Infamous Greatest Maritime Disaster In United States History

It's under the Heading

Poetry, Short Stories, Flash Fiction, A Novelette, & A Novel You Can Buy

There, I have stories and poems I have personally written.

Maybe this is as good as time as ever to reiterate that this Blog is not only about my daily Posts, but it is also about all the fiction I write too.

So take a look at a story I wrote or a poem I wrote and leave a message saying what you think of it.

You do not want to mess with the Laurence.

I am going to be taking a vacation this summer,
and no,
the estate will not be unguarded.
There will be two
German Shepherds,
a
Security Guard,
and a
Japanese Sheepshead Fish
swimming around in my mote.
Laurence is one bad dude.
You do not want to mess with the Laurence.
I am going to be visiting my
Dad
who will be turning 91 years old this year.
I will also be meeting his girlfriend for the first time.
I don't know how I am going to handle that.
Don't get me wrong,
I love that he has a girlfriend now since my
Mother
passed away so many years ago.
He is happy again and he has a friend his age that he can relate to.
Well,
this is the part I am having a hard time handling.
I hear my
Dad's
girlfriend is only 72 years old!
He robbing the cradle!
Oh,
by the way.
My home town theme song is sung by these two guys.
Our song?
"Roll out the barrel."

Dusting Off My Old Prancing Horse T-Shirt I Bought When Michael Schumacher Was Driving

At the end of the month,
the month of April,
the
will be held.
The fourth race of the season.
Even though
has won the first three,
it has been a season of exciting ups
and downs for all the teams involved.
Some
Sporting News Outlets
(br)
predicted before the season opening race that the fight would be between
and
for the Championship.
Yet,
in my mind,
it was always going to be about
Hamilton
and
Rosberg.
Nico
is doing what he is supposed to do,
but
Lewis
seems to be lost this season.
Not having his usual edge that he displayed the last two years.
I have a small theory on that,
and I am sure if my suspicions were correct,
the
Mercedes' Brain Trust
would have seen it too.
At the beginning of the season,
so people around the World would not think that
was playing favorites with their drivers,
five mechanics who worked with
Lewis Hamilton
last year
and five mechanics who worked for
Nico Rosberg,
traded positions.
For the last few years,
before 2016,
Nico,
had more mechanical problems with his car than
Lewis
did.
This year,
Lewis
is having more problems with his car than
Nico.
Rosberg
even said after the
Chinese Race
that his
was set up the best it has ever been.
Maybe there is one mechanic out of the bunch who has the perfect touch when setting up a race car?
It is just a thought.
Since the first seven races are held two weeks apart from each other,
I have been looking for a way to fill the void of my love for
F1
during the breaks.
I have found three documentaries that I think will fill the time nicely.
Weekend of a Champion.
A movie directed by a young
Roman Polanski
about
Jackie Stewart's
attempt to win the
1971 Monaco Grand Prix.
I haven't finished it yet,
but halfway through,
I love it.
Hunt vs Lauda.
Story about the 1976 rivalry between these two Formula 1 drivers.
I watched it a couple of years back,
but will be watching it again.
It is a good story.
In 2013,
Ron Howard
made the movie
Rush
about the same story.
I love that movie.
The last documentary is
Gonchi.
I haven't seen it yet so I cannot tell you any thing about it except what it says on
Gonchi, The Movie - Official Trailer
on
"GONCHI tells the story of a Uruguayan car racer that dreamt about being in F1 and did all that was possible to reach his goal. When he was about to reach his best prize, he died in a car accident at the CART World Series tests in Laguna Seca, US."
And if those documentaries don't do it for me,
I have the
2015 F1
racing game for my
Xbox One!
Dammit!
just hit me from behind.
Wow,
it is almost like driving a real
F1 Car
back in 2015!

A Part Of My Life Today And Some Headlines I Was Going To Write Stories On

I just got back from a new tradition which is starting in our household.
Going for a Sunday hike on one of the many trails in
Southern California.
This trail is off of
Sandia Creek Drive
near the
The trail hikes along the
Santa Margarita River.
It is a blast to do since it is with my family.
Here are some headlines I was going to write stories on,
but after I saved the links for awhile,
I lost the enthusiasm for them.
So now I need to delete them,
but maybe you will be interested in reading about them.

"Overdue Library Book Returned 49 Years Later" by Tana Weingartner for 91.7 WVXU Cincinati
"James Philips says he must've forgotten to return History of the Crusades to the University of  Dayton library when he joined the Marines. Now, 49 years later, the book is finally returned and heading back into circulation. The university contacted Philips who told them he checked out the book in 1967 but left school for the Marine Corps without returning it. He says he picked it up either for a class or just because it looked interesting. According to a statement, the late fee in 1967 was two cents per day. However, UD says it won't be sending Phillips a bill, which WVXU estimates at around $350."

"Richard Nixon Adviser Reveals The War On Drugs Was Really War On Blacks And Vietnam Protesters"  by Zachary Volkert for INQUISITR
"Former president Richard Nixon and the War on Drugs are possibly two of the least loved facets of 20th century American history, and according to a former adviser, a link between the two might make them even more unpopular. For years, many have suspected that the Nixon administration’s “dirty tricks” against its rivals exposed in Watergate were also present in the War on Drugs. There was, however, scant evidence of these claims being true. Now, a 1994 interview is being shared with the public for the first time in a Harper magazine piece called “Legalize It All.” John Ehrlichman — “You want to know what this was really all about? The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the anti-war left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”

"Daniel Shaver, unarmed man killed by Arizona police officer, cried and begged for life before shooting" by Jason Silverstein for Daily News
"An unarmed man who was shot and killed by an Arizona police officer in January cried, complied with police orders and begged for his life before the fatal firing, according to a newly released police report. Mesa Police Officer Philip Brailsford has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of Daniel Shaver, a 26-year-old Texas man. Authorities have declined to release Brailsford’s body cam footage from the deadly encounter."
Look at this asshole.

"How do the ultra-wealthy hide their money? A massive document leak reveals a lot of the process, even exposing Vladimir Putin’s friends use of shell companies. But Putin is just one of the many, many public figures that have been caught using the shadowy “offshore world.” The massive data leak, known as the Panama Papers, contains about 2.6 terabytes of data, roughly 11 million documents from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca & Co. showing how some of the world’s wealthiest people dodge taxes and launder money. Over 370 journalists sifted through the papers and some of the first results have been published through the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. According to the Seattle Times, the developing list of implicated people ranges from Kings to drug-dealers. Namely, the list includes the Kings of Morocco and Saudi Arabia, the Prime Ministers of Iceland and Pakistan, close associates to Bashar Al Assad and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. Even the families of British Prime Minister David Cameron and Chinese President Xi Jinping have been implicated. The papers show information on webs of shell companies, offshore bank accounts and phony transactions that can be used to launder money or simply hide it from taxation. For example, Ian Cameron, the British PM’s father, “helped create and develop Blairmore Holdings Inc. in Panama in 1982” according to the documents, which became a $20 million entity by 1998. Cameron was then able to advertise Blairmore as a company “not liable to taxation” to potential investors. Fusion put together a few profiles on the more famous names in the documents, but the media is focusing largely on one man — Vladimir Putin. The Russian president doesn’t have shell companies of his own, but his close friends had plenty. The Guardian created a map to simplify the complicated relationship between Putin and the roughly $2 billion dollars that was funneled in and out of Russia. Sergey Roldugin, known as a world-class cellist and close friend of Putin since the 1970s, owns three shell companies — two of them funded through what the U.S. calls “Russia’s personal bank for senior officials.” He’s a major player in a number of real businesses too, owning 12.5 percent of Russia’s biggest TV advertising agency, Video International, and 15 percent of a major truck company called Raytar. Arkady and Boris Rotenberg, billionaire brothers and also close friends with Putin, own seven British Island shell companies. They’re sanctioned by the U.S. and have been accused of corruption and of profiting from contracts in the Sochi Olympics. Although the journalists uncovered connections to people accused of various crimes, the massive data leak might lead to a surprisingly low amount of criminal charges. There’s nothing inherently illegal about maneuvers in the “offshore world.”

The
estimates that 150 billion dollars is lost in tax revenue each year due to the rich hiding their money in offshore accounts.
If the filthy rich paid their fair share,
this country would not be in debt!
And the Republicans say the Rich need Tax Breaks to stimulate the Country.
What a bunch of bullshit!

How Do Some People Get The Right To Drive?

OK,
I have a complaint,
a grievance,
a beef against society.
I am going to bitch about something we all have come across if we are
Licensed Drivers.
All the morons who,
by the grace of insane
Driving Instructors,
somehow got themselves a
License to Drive!
The individual in the picture above may not be a crazy driver,
I am just using his
DMV
picture to illustrate the kind of card it takes to become a moron.
But with further contemplation,
he does look a little embarrassed,
"Like how did I get this license?"
He has those beady little eyes
and that flaming red hair.
Yah,
he is a nut behind the wheel.
What I want to complain about is all the Psychos who think it is OK to drive through a
Red Light
by being at the tail end of a line of cars!
I have to sit behind a
Green Light
of my own so I don't hit the crazy guy who cannot wait another three minutes before his turn is up again!
When are drivers going to pay attention!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!
I just hit the back of a
Subaru
since I forgot to look up from my tablet as I was typing this,
after punching the gas peddle.

"Tales of Ratiocination."

The first modern
Detective Story
was published,
on this date,
in
Graham's Magazine
in the year of 1841.
It was written by one of my first literary heroes,
The story he published was,
"The Murders in the Rue Morgue."
Poe referred to it as one of his
"Tales of Ratiocination."
The word
Ratiocination
is sounded out a lot different then you would think by its spelling.
(rash-ee-os-uh-ney-shuhn)
Its meaning?
The process of logical reasoning.
Dare I say,
his
Ratiocination Stories
where a precursor to the
sagas.
There are two stories that predate Poe's story,
 Das Fräulein von Scuderi
by
E. T. A. Hoffmann
and
Zadig
by
Voltaire.
Yet Poe is credited with bringing the genre to the mainstream reader.
I wonder if someone is still leaving the bottle of
at his grave stone every year?
A toast,
to the man who wrote stories that scared me so much as a young boy,
that I held a flashlight next to my bed for three years!
