About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Liberty And Justice For All

I have noticed that the people I grew up with thought how nice it was to hear from me on my Facebook page, but they are no longer talking to me. I believe I have been unfriended by most of them.
We were brought up during some of the most heated rioting in our Nation's history. The late 1960's, early 1970's.
We were fighting for Social Justice back then. Just like the Protesters of today are doing.
I was told by one fiend who no longer talks to me that, "Liberals like you are what's ruining this country."
Sorry to disagree with you. This is still a Free Country and I will not be silenced. I believe our Country would be better off with Equal Rights and Social Justice for all Minorities, Women, Gays, Transgender People, and everything else that makes a person different in this world. Even at the cost of losing White Privilege for White People!

The Grey Gull Sanitarium - The Final Chapter

I opened the basement door and started my descent. There was one light on covering the stairs, but beyond that, complete darkness after the last step.
Animal in the Basement: Who You Gonna Call? - Effective Wildlife ...
I'm a lefty. So I clumsily took out my torch with my right hand while holding firmly the steel pipe with my left. Not a cold day chance in Hell was I going to put down my weapon. I had to be ready for anything.
The first step creaked as I put wait on it.
What else could I do? I had to keep going. Bryce could be in trouble and need my help.
The second step was quieter but I still took my time down each one. At the bottom, I had no choice but to turn on my torch.
The basement had that musty smell you get when a part of a building doesn't get any circulating airflow. The ceiling and walls were painted grey, unlike all the rooms upstairs which were all covered in white.
I took the torch and made a sweep of the area. Huge wooden crates and plastic totes covered most of the floor. They were sectioned off into areas so there were paths between each group.
Maybe for easy access, I imagine.
Down the middle path, on the opposite side of the basement, a set of double doors had an ominous light peeking from the bottom.
This must be where the shipping dock is located, I thought. That must be where Bryce is being held captive.
As I walked slowly through the stockpiles of boxes, I noticed that each section of totes and crates had sequences of numbers stenciled on their sides.
What kind of experiments are they doing here at the sanitarium? Could this be a group of terrorists? Trying to make some kind of dirty bomb? my panicked mind imagined. Should I run for it and call the constable? Take my chances with the law afterwards?
I wasn't sure what I should do, until I heard a faint whistling coming from the other side of the double doors.
Someone was enjoying themselves. Probably torturing Bryce right now. I need to put an end to this and save my friend no matter what happens to me!
I put my torch on a large crate and aimed at the double doors so I could see the handle I was going to pull on. After taking a deep breath, I pulled on it and started screaming as I ran into the docking area, looking for someone to club.
I don't know how I missed him, but behind me Bryce said, "What are you going to do with that?"
I turned around and saw him in a guards uniform smiling.
"What the hell is going on around here?" I screamed at him.
"Oh, didn't I tell you mate. I got a part time job being a security guard here. Hollywood has rented the place out to make a movie."
So I club him. That's how he ended up here in the hospital Constable MacGregor.

The Grey Gull Sanitarium - Part Three

I was shaking like a drunk without a beer. Not because of what Bryce had just done to me moments ago in the adjacent room. The room I walked into was furnished. Furnished with the strangest medical or scientific equipment I had ever seen. It had beakers the size of those 5 gallon plastic drums you get delivered to your house from a water company. Garden hose size rubber tubing going to each one. There were microscopes, autoclaves, pipettes, bioreactors, a DNA amplifier, and a whole bunch of other equipment I was clueless about since they didn't have any labels on them.
Flickriver: Photoset 'Mad Scientist's Lab' by atomhirsch

Somebody was doing experiments here. What kind? I wasn't brave enough to find out. I burst back out the door had I come through and didn't see Bryce anywhere.
He must have gone to the second level to search around, like I had asked him to do, I thought to myself. Unless he found something up there, he doesn't know that this place is still in use.
I sprinted up the stairs as quickly and as silently as I could. I didn't want to yell out to him in case the occupant of the building was at home and if they heard us, call the constable.
Now I was regretting the fact that we decided to leave our cellphones at home. We figured that we would be together and wouldn't need them. "The noise from an unwanted call could warn the Bobbies where we are if they come looking for us," Bryce said. So we left them.
I had to search each room as quietly as possible, hoping I could find Bryce right away so we could get out of here with no one being the wiser.
Of course my luck was going from bad to worst. He was nowhere to be found upstairs.
I did make one discovery though. None of these rooms were furnished. So I had a brief moment of happiness thinking that whomever had the laboratory downstairs, they weren't living here because there wasn't a bedroom on the two main floors.
Then I realized, what about the basement?
Surely if someone was living here and didn't want prying eyes noticing bright lights beaming out of the windows at night, you would make your residence in the basement. That also meant, whatever kind of experiments they are performing here can only be done during the day.
I wasn't sure if these facts were in our favor or if it meant we just haven't alarmed anyone yet with our presence.
I had to find Bryce, and find him now!
After going down to the first level, I quickly looked around the first floor rooms again to see if I had missed him or if he had double back without me noticing him.
   Nothing.
There were two options left. First; he went down to the basement without telling me. So, when I find him and if he isn't dead already, I am going to kill him myself. Second; if he left the building and went home without me. Again, I will kill him, when I see him.
My only choice now was to search the basement for my friend.
I went into the laboratory to find myself a weapon. If need be, I would break one of the smaller beakers and use a shard of glass from it like a knife.
Instead, I grabbed a pipe off the lattice type structure which was holding up the larger beakers. I had a club now. Less chances of me hurting myself with the pipe than with broken shards of glass.
I took a deep breath, told myself to be ready for anything, and made my way to the basement door.

The Grey Gull Sanitarium - Part Two

Bryce and I had to walk the long way around town. If either of us took one of our cars and left it near the Grey Gull Sanitarium, that would be an easy find for the locals reporting suspicious characters or the Bobbies patrolling the neighborhood.
We are not kids anymore. So, besides the usual community service handed down by the courts for petty crimes, they like to heavily fine blokes like us. It helps with the city budget so they don't have to raise taxes on our overtaxed townsfolk.
It's all about the money these days.
Like I was sayin', to start with, we had to venture along the outskirts of town. When we got to Glenburn Road, we stayed in the trees alongside til we came across the old Barkley house. Then it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to the back of the sanitarium.
Bryce was right. There was a huge Birnam Oak tree splitting the fence in the backyard of the place. With its knotty trunk and low hanging branches, it was an easy workaround for the barbed wire.
Last surviving oak tree from wood that inspired Shakespeare's ...
On the grounds, we did a walkabout to find the least conspicuous entryway of the building. What I was surprised about was the fact that there wasn't an alarm system, security bars on the windows, and just a regular household door lock on the service entryway. "Easy pickings," I said to Bryce.
Once inside, we lit our torches and were surprised how much the place brightened up. Bryce said it was because every wall, floor, and ceiling was painted white and the employees probably whitewashed the place everyday when it was in business.
So I asked, "Shouldn't it have faded by now?" His response was, "You're overthinking it."
Just in case, I turned my torch off when we were in the same room together. Even though there was the slimmest of margins of us being seen through the windows, I didn't want to take any chances. Bryce was smiling ear to ear at me and thought I was being paranoid.
"Let's split up," I said, trying to sound brave. "I'll check this level and you head upstairs to see what you can find. Afterwards, we'll both go down to the cellar and explore there. Yell if you see or find anything interesting. And remember, no vandalism or stealing, unless it's valuable."
A still grinning Bryce says to me, "Aintcha afraid some ghosts might hear you yelling for me if you see one? Oh wait? Your screams will probably scare them away!"
"Shut up you buggered," I said unconvincingly. "Are you trying to stall so I'll hold your hand and lead you up stairs?"
All he did was laugh and make a run for the staircase. Hoping up two at a time as he went.
That's when I started talking to myself, while walking from room to room. "What is he on about? I have been doing this sort of thing just as long as he has. Afraid of ghosts? What does he take me for?"
   "Boo!"
I must have jumped 2 meters into the air. I turned around shacking and found Bryce on the floor laughing his ass off. So I kicked him in the leg and went into an adjoining room.

The Grey Gull Sanitarium - Part One

Lochgilphead - Wikipedia
It was a Friday night, just like any other night. Dark, windy, with a light fine mist making everything damp. Nothing unusual for the city of Lochgilphead, Scotland.
The town sits along the shores of Loch Gilp which leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean. I don't know why they call it a loch since it is more of a bay than a lake.
Well, that night, Bryce and I were watching a video on a streaming site where these five Americans find abandoned buildings and they search these premises for ghosts or anything else spooky they can find.
After drinking a couple of the finest ales that we could afford, I suggested that we go explore the old Grey Gull Sanitarium. It is strictly off limits, with barbed wire topping the fence that circles the place and large signs everywhere reading; Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted.
But that never stopped Bryce and I before.
When we were youngins, still in school anyways, anytime a petty theft happened, joyride of an unlocked car, or just poorly sprayed graffiti showed up, the Constable always came knocking at our houses first. Much to the chagrin of our parents.
"Everybody knows everybody in small towns," the Chief Constable would say every time, while smiling at the both of us. "We get to know the character of certain individuals mighty quick around here."
But now that we are older, we have moved past that sort of thing. Sort of.
Tonight we were both feeling a little frisky after the 12 pack of ale and neither one of us had to work in the morning. The perfect combination for a little mischief.
I don't know why we have never ventured into the old Grey Gull before, but Bryce didn't hesitate for a second once I mentioned it to him.
We have both seen the Bobbies on occasion patrolling past the sanitarium at night. Shining their big spot lights from their patrol cars towards the building, searching the grounds and illuminating the windows to see if anyone is inside. I figured some rich guy owned the building and asked the local police to check in on it once in a while so the likes of Bryce and I wouldn't vandalize the place.
I went inside my room and came out with a bolt cutter. Bryce asked me, "What is that for?" I said, "To cut through the fence so we don't have to climb over the barbed wire." He replied smiling, "I have been casing the place for some time now. I know of a tree in the back of the place where it splits the fence in two. We can get in and out without anyone the wiser."
We grabbed a couple of torches, some gloves, hoodies, and made our way to the Grey Gull Sanitarium on foot.
Not a local, tourist, or cabbie driving a hackney carriage was in sight that perfect night, as we made our way in the mist.
We agreed beforehand that this was an exploratory mission, to find ghosts. Not to vandalize the place or steel anything. Unless it was valuable.

Space Walk

This is,
At Least Trump Hasn't Messed With Space
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

Crooks Hijack “Black Lives Matter” To Spread Zombie Malware

I have nothing to do with this story

These crooks aren’t piling on any pressure; they aren’t playing on emotions such as guilt or fear; and they aren’t even requiring you to get involved under your own name. If you get one of these, don’t open the attachment – it’s a trap! We opened it so you don’t have to, and we must grudgingly admit that the trick the crooks have used here is easy to fall for. Remember that Word documents can contain what are commonly known as macros – embedded program code written in the Visual Basic for Applications programming language, or VBA for short. The problem with macros is that the term sounds safe and innocent – the word harks back to the days of really simple keystroke recorders that you could use to automate simple tasks in word processors or spreadsheets. But VBA today is as powerful and as dangerous as C, C++, Delphi, Perl, Python or any other programming language that’s associated with full-blown, standalone applications that you install and run locally. VBA needs an Office application running (usually Word, Excel or PowerPoint) to make it work, but once you agree to let VBA code run from inside an Office file, it has full access to your computer just as if the VBA program were running outside Office. In other words, VBA inside a Word file isn’t like JavaScript in your browser – there’s no sandbox or walled garden to restrict the damage it can do.

You have Heard It All Before, Is Covid-19 Part Of A Conspiracy?

Everyone out there in the world,
I want to start my own
Conspiracy!
Over the last decade
or two I have been noticing a popular trend in books,
television shows,
and in the movies.
The extermination of half the planet's population.
It could be from a virus,
ah oh,
from nuclear war,
zombies,
or even from aliens.
Some of the most famous
in
America
like to get together to figure out how to limit population growth.
Well,
I need someone to blame for my conspiracy,
so I am going to blame the
Republicans.
Millions of people have lost their
since the pandemic started.
wants to open schools this fall against the recommendations of
and the
or these institutions will lose their federal funding.
Who are the most likely candidates to be forced to have their children attend schools when they open?
The poor.
First the poor lose their health insurance
and now they are forced to send their kids to school where,
if anyone who has ever had children before knows,
where germs
and viruses spread like butter on bread between children.
So how do you reduce the population worldwide?
Not by killing off the rich
and famous.
By getting rid of your
Poor,
Handicap,
Mentally Ill,
and
Drug Addicts.
People who put a financial strain on their government.
It would not be the first time in history that this has happened.
Everyone from
to
the currant president of the
Philippines
have killed people who they considered expendable.
You can find this behavior throughout history
and I am sure any new tyrant who tries taking over a country will implore this same strategy.
Even in a
Democracy!
Faith Salie on Donald Trump, "The Ugly American" - CBS News

Waiting For The Hate Mail To Begin,

“Indeed, to this day, I think if you blame everything on the government, you're not just wrong, you're being reckless. It's as silly as blaming everything on the Freemasons, or the Illuminati, or insert-bad-guy-here. But I do believe that someone must ask the hard questions, especially of our elected officials as well as powerful men who become members of so-called secret societies. Saying Om To Release My Anger

I want to bring up a little tidbit most people never consider is a problem in their lives.
That strongest of emotions,
"Anger."
Yes,
that's right,
"Anger."
In the past I have talked about how I wish a couple of
Neanderthals,
who are wasting water while we are in a drought,
should be fined
or put in jail for being stupid human beings!
Well,
a statement like that is what I would call being
"Angry."
I was angry at them because I felt they shouldn't be wasting water.
The dictionary describes
"Anger"
as,
"A strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused by a wrong, wrath, or ire."
Yes,
thank you again dictionary for not explaining a thing in words
and phrases that I can understand.
I believe they have it wrong
and that makes me
Angry!
In my humble opinion,
"Anger"
is the result you feel when something,
as in
Person,
Place,
or
Thing,
is not doing what you want,
what you expected,
or how you imagined it should be.
Think about it.
When you get angry with someone,
you are mad at them for not doing what you think is right.
They could have said something,
that in your mind is wrong.
Or,
they drive so poorly you want them to crash
and burn.
"Anger."
You plan for months to take a trip to a famous resort with a mouse as a mascot
and half the rides are shut down for their yearly maintenance.
"Anger."
You drive up to a
R.R. Crossing
and the car in front of you circumvents the
Crossing Gate
just before the train comes,
but you get stuck in between both
Gates
because the car in front of you stalls,
out of gas.
And here comes the train.
"Anger and death!"
Now,
all of those examples would piss me off greatly,
if they would happen to me.
Remember
"Anger"
contributes to bad
Karma,
Health Problems,
Loss Of Relationships,
and just about anything that is detrimental to your
Mental
and
Physical Well Being.
So,
to live a long
and prosperous life,
the next time you feel anger coming on,
let it pass.
Life is too short for all of that negative emotion.

Nature Is So Beautiful

If you look closely at the center of the tree,
there is a huge knot.
To me,
it looks like the face of a dog.
I can't think of the bread right now,
but it will come to me.
This has to be an inspiration to someone to write a story!
It is
Beautiful Art
in
Nature.
Help Me Write -
"The Experiment"
and you will help a fellow out.

This is,
Walking Through The Woods
And Enjoying Life,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”

Celebrate The Capture Of A Flying Saucer Today

UFO Story | Roswell, NM
Today is the anniversary of the capture of a
Flying Saucer
and two of its crew members in
Roswell, New Mexico!
If you believe in conspiracies.
When a lot of aviation veterans on the allied side went home after
World War II
they were already talking about seeing
UFO's.
Pilots
and crew members of those
often reported seeing
flying along side of them.
Did you just think it was a name of a really good band?
Foo Fighters was the name given to
UFOs
during the war.
The name
Flying Saucer
was first coined by an
Idaho
pilot named
Kenneth Arnold
on
June 24th, 1947.
Fifteen days before the
Roswell
incident.
I am not here to tell you that the government didn't find a
Foo Fighter 73 Years Ago.
I'm just saying that
I Do Believe In Life On Other Planets
and if they had the capability to fly from one solar system to another,
what on
Earth
would make them crash?
Our strong planetary
Gravity?

This is,
I Have Only Been Abducted Three
Or Four Times In My Lifetime,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“If UFO’s are of alien origin, that implies the global elite are collaborating with ET civilizations. This may explain why classified technology has progressed at such a rapid rate since around the time of Roswell.”
- James Morcan -

The First Post I Ever Wrote

I would like to invite you to read my first eBook called
"No Return Address."
It's a psychological thriller set in a series of letters written by the antagonist to his old college roommate.
It has thrills,
it has chills,
and most of all,
it has spills.
The hemoglobin type I might add.
Just go to
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/no-return-address-1
and you will see my book
"No Return Address."
If by chance the book doesn't show up right away you will need to turn off the
"Adult Filter"
because the book is rated
Mature.
It's only 99 cents
and where else can you get this kind of entertainment at such a low low price.
And being the avid reader we know you are,
you already know that when you buy an eBook,
you always have to start an account with that website you are trying to purchase it from.
You can also see the title on
Sony's
website,
Barnes & Noble,
Apple,
Diesel,
and
Page Foundry.
Soon to be on
Amazon
and
Baker-Taylor's Blio!
So give it a try.
I just know you'll like it!

This is,
The First Post I Ever Wrote Back On December 14th, 2012,
