About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Watching NASA Perseverancing Mars

Did you see what I did in the title there?
You like that right?
Well,
I thought it was funny.
Have you been following all the exciting news coming back from the Perseverance Rover?
Like the
of the rover landing on
Mars.
(I geeked out on it but I feel most people won't.)
There is a
of the landing site.
Plus,
you can zoom in on the rover itself so you can take a good look at different sections of the craft close up.
Then,
of course
NASA
always has the
with photos
and short movie clips of the rover going through its check list.
Lots of photos of the surface of
Mars
too!
This set of images shows parts of the robotic arm on NASA’s Perseverance rover flexing and turning during its first checkout after landing on Mars. These images were taken by Perseverance’s Navigation Cameras on March 3, 2021. If that's not enough to float your boat,
soon the
Perseverance Rover
will be releasing,
for the first time on another planet,
a helicopter to fly in the
Mar's Atmosphere.
If you would like to watch a live public talk on helicopters in space,
you can go to
for that exciting briefing.

This is,

And,

“Why a journey into space? Because science is now learning that the infinite reaches of our universe probably teem with as much life and adventure as Earth's own oceans and continents. (The Hollywood Reporter, Sept. 8, 1966)”
- Gene Roddenberry -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
