About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

5 Best Posts Of January, 2017

For this
Post,
I am a day late
and a dollar short.
But I couldn't wait a day longer to put out my original story,
yesterday.
Still,
it is only the first of a brand new month,
so I can write a
Post
called,
The Five Best Posts of January, 2017
without any guilt.
And if you know me personally,
you would know that my ego is so large,
that I seldom feel guilty about anything.
Now,
do not flood me with emails stating I should be ashamed of myself for not being more remorseful over certain actions in my life.
If you live by the motto that I do,
which is,
"Always do the right thing in all situations,"
you have less mistakes in life to feel guilty about.
I should have been a
Philosopher
or something!
But,
this isn't a
Post
about stating an obvious life lesson.
This is a
Post
celebrating
The Five Best Posts of January, 2017.

The Fifth Best Post of January is;
Another humorous romp through the mind of TwoBuckHowie. On Fridays I like to try to bring a little humor to all of our lives. On January 6th, it was about jokes with the theme of beer, bars, and bar-tending. I ended the Post with a humorous YouTube video called, The Real Housewives Of ISIS.

The Fourth Best Post of January is;
Letters Of Recommendation
My long winded story about how I have been asked over the years to write Letters of Recommendation for people looking for employment. I give an example of a letter I wrote, stating anyone can use it for free. I also state I am willing to write letters for anyone out there for a small fee. No one took me up on it.

The Third Best Post of January is;
The 5 Best Stories I Wrote Last Year, Chosen By You, The Readers
Thanking everyone who comes to this Blog and reads my original stories. I am especially proud of the fact that so many people enjoy my story called, A-L-I-V which was the number one read original, by a long shot, of all the stories I wrote. Thank you again.

The Second Best Post of January is;
Oh, Did I Mention The Cold War?
My comparison of growing up during the turbulent 1960s, then what is going on today. The 60s had way more violent days through the decade than we have today. The only difference that I can see is, we didn't have access to any social media or instant news. Sometimes you wouldn't hear about a riot until days later.

The Number One Best Post of January, 2017 is;
Blind Man
I am ecstatic that another original story of mine is the number one read Post, of any month. The story centers around a man who was blind since childhood and receives a new procedure to regain his eyesight back. After being able to see, the World, as he knew it, no longer seems as beautiful. He even looses his wife to his new found bitterness. When a home-invasion occurs, he asks his assailant to blind him once again so he couldn't pick him out of a line up or testify against him. This way, the assailant would not have to kill the Blind Man.

There you have it,
and I hope you come back for more.
Thank you,
and always keep reading,
no matter what it is.

This is,
Working On My Second Book To Be Released Later This Year,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you: the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was. If you can get so that you can give that to people, then you are a writer.”
- Ernest Hemingway -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
