About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

I know, I am giving advice when it wasn't asked for.

In the past,
because
Advice Is Happily Received When Asked For
instead of given as a
Lecture,
I try to put down my
Fatherly Guidance
in this
Blog.
I am hoping my kids read some of the exhortations I tell in some of my
Posts,
and that they will adhere to some of that wisdom.
Disclaimer;
I am not the smartest man in the
World
and I am not claiming to be.
But I have found ways in
Life
to
when I have a job
or I am looking for a job.
It would be prudent to read my
Post;
for some of my earlier advice on the subject.
I was going to write down the

5 Words You Should Never Use to Describe Yourself in an Interview.

but I feel this website does it best.

"Hiring managers all have their favorite interview questions, but they’re typically some variation of the common ones. For example, you might get, How would your colleagues describe you? or Use three words to describe yourself. Either way, your overall approach would likely be the same. The thing you need to be mindful of, then, is what words you actually use. Or, to put it in another way, there are words that you should never, ever use."

Check it out,
they have a lot of good advice.

I was wondering when someone was going to ask this question.

Since you am no longer part of the work force, where do you go to learn about any new terminology or keep up with advances in computers?

One of my favorite websites to keep up with today's technology is
They have
"Term of the Day,"
a weekly newsletter,
study guides,
definition of terms,
and a host of other advice to keep the techie in your life informed.
And by the way,
I am in no way associated with this website so I am not obligated to promote them.
It is for geeks who love this kind of stuff!

This is,
Saying The First Step In Getting A Job Is In Believing In Yourself,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“What someone may lack in talent can be more than made up for in self-motivation, self-direction, and follow-through.”
- Miles Anthony Smith -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!

I know,
I am giving advice when it wasn't asked for.
But I can't help myself,
I am a Father!
