Sometimes
it takes awhile before a
"Snake"
sheds
it's skin
and
we see the real lizard inside.
There
is a reason,
that
throughout history,
mankind
has used the snake as the symbol of evil.
When
someone stabs you in the back,
we
call them,
"A
snake in the grass."
Why?
Because
they can be right in front of you,
but
you don't know who the person really is until they bite you.
That
can be a problem,
when
somebody re-enters your life,
after
many years of being away,
and
all you know about them is how they were in your past.
People
change,
and
not always for the best.
Someone
has recently,
oh,
maybe
three to four months ago,
entered
our lives
and
pretended to be the same person we once knew.
Or,
because
we always liked this person,
we
tried to remember her fondly.
But
after spending time with them again,
her
true spots began to show.
I
hope this person hasn't lost the trust
and
love of her family,
because
life tastes pretty bitter when you get older,
and
there is no longer anyone who will trust you
or
be your friend.

And,
“The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.”
