About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

How Simple It Is

I hate to say,
I Told You So,
(Actually I don't.)
But I Told You So!
Remember my July 3rd, 2015 Post called,
where I talked about
and how easy it would be to,
"blow their hopes and dreams right out of the water, if I was still into that kind of thing."
Here are the Headlines 1 day ago on MSN News. "High school student claims to have hacked CIA chief's personal email." Story by Andrew Tarantola for Engadget. "An unnamed source claiming to be an American high school student has contacted the paper with evidence that he had compromised the personal email account of CIA Director John Brennan. Among the documents reportedly stored in Brennan's unsecured personal email: his 47-page application for top-secret security clearance, personal information (including SSNs) on more than a dozen top US intelligence officials and some damning emails discussing "harsh interrogation techniques" used on suspects. He claims that the 40 or so documents he accessed on October 12th were stored as file attachments. He reportedly gained access via a social engineering scam in which he convinced (soon-to-be-former) Verizon employees to provide him with Brennan's personal details and leveraging that information to get AOL to reset the account password. The account has since been disabled and the FBI is currently investigating the matter."
Let me say that one more time.
"High school student claims to have hacked CIA chief's personal email."
First of all,
why in the World would the head of the CIA be using
AOL Mail Service
in the first place?
Because,
maybe,
people are ignorant?
Or do you think,
just because they pay for a service,
they believe that service is using the money to keep their email secure?
Fat Chance!
It's Big Business you dofuss!
The Corporate Big Wigs are skimming as much profit as they can before everyone realizes that their service is prehistoric
and stop using it!
It's a wonder,
to me,
how people get so use to a specific Company
or Product that they believe the quality
and integrity of that Company
or Product won't suffer over time as
Corporate Greed
looks for new ways to skim profits from it's customers.
I,
myself,
have four email addresses going right now.
Sometimes I have more,
depending on what kind of website I'm signing up to.
I use
for all the sites which ask you to sign up via email.
I use
MSN,
which is a little more secure,
for all the correspondence I'll receive from Utility Companies, Schools,
and other Business who bore me to death.
I use
which is a little more secure then the other two,
for this Blog
and another gmail account for my personal mail from family
and friends.
Now don't laugh.
You don't think this idea is safe either,
I know.
But you have to take in account
Human Nature.
Hackers,
like everyone else in life,
go for the easy marks first!
That is why they send out all those spam emails,
hoping you'll open it
and infect your phone,
tablet,
or computer.
It's a lot easier then trying to backdoor someone
or something.
(My old technique.)
As long as you don't open an email when you don't recognize the sender,
or use the
"Preview Pane,"
which lets the Spam's virus in without opening the full email,
you should be just fine.
Come to think of it,
it's time to change all my addresses again.
Can't be too careful you know.
Wait,
I forgot,
I'm lazy.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
