About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

I'm Warning You

I've been thinking about this for a long time.
How I should warn people about how fragile their Security is,
being on the Internet.
I write on a public Blog and say things like
"I hate ISIS"
for beheading children,
because of who their Parents are.
Should I be worried about a reprisal?
Yes.
Not too long ago,
right here in Los Angeles,
an Islamic couple escaped back to Iran,
after killing their daughter for becoming too
American.
What do you think they would do to a non-Islamic American?
I talk about things I believe are interesting
and just might be important to someone else besides me.
I have mentioned that I was a Brown Hat Hacker at one time,
but let me clarify that.
When I was hacking,
it was during the 1990s
and at my very best,
I never tried to steal information
or money from any corporation.
Not directly,
but indirectly.
I wanted to surf the web,
as we called it back then,
for free.
I wanted operating systems for free,
programs for free,
and to learn about the wonderful World of technology that was opening up in front of me,
for free.
It was so much easier in the 1990s then it is today,
that I can't compare what I did back then to what these Black Hatters do today.
Maybe,
if I kept up my pursuit of learning all the different lines of codes used to set up a backdoor on the weak
Firewalls
most people use today,
I could use their webcam to spy on them,
like any Hacker worth his salt can do.
Hint.
Almost every program you download today,
will ask you to set up
"Automatic Upgrades"
so you don't have to worry about keeping the program up to date.
That means it has to ask the Company
or its Creators,
if their are any upgrades,
constantly.
Then it has to keep the Firewall from closing so the Creators can upstream a yes or no.
Backdoor.
Even letting the program check for updates on its own is a mistake.
This is leaving a backdoor open on your Firewall for any Hacker to come on in.
And if you let all your programs do Automatic Updates,
you should put a Welcome sign on that door.
That's just one way and it was the easiest way during the early Nineties.
Hint.
Do your Banking on the Bank's App on your Cell Phone and don't use your computer.
It is safer.
Unless you're foolish enough to use an open Wi-Fi system,
like at Starbucks,
on your phone instead of the data stream.
I'm not foolish enough to believe that my Post,
"The Lizard Squad"
was so well written,
that all of a sudden I got 157 views from Italy in one day,
when the day before that,
I only had a total of 3 since I started this Blog.
The Lizard Squad is a well known name among Hackers,
Security Companies,
and Governments that I'm sure,
just by mentioning the name,
I rang all kinds of bells and whistle,
that some of these groups wanted to see what I was up to.
Yes,
it's easy to reroute your inquiry through different servers so it ends up looking like it came from a particular Country.
Like Italy.
I could go on and on about this subject.
Instead, watch the Documentary Film;
"Citizen Four"
about Edward Snowden,
by Laura Poitras.
You'll get a glimpse on what the United States is doing to its own citizens,
then you can imagine what good and bad Hackers are doing too.
If you are too lazy,
or too numb to this subject,
to watch a Documentary,
(I really hate to bring it down to this level,)
USA Network has an outstanding show called,
"Mr. Robot."
It opens up the Hacker's World for the average Joe and Josephine.
In the way,
only the TV Generation can understand.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm all for Political Hackers like
"Anonymous,"
doing what they do best,
but not groups like
"The Lizard Squad"
who only hack for profit.

This is Jim Hauenstein,

And,
I've already been hacked where my Identity was stolen,
years ago.
It wasn't on a computer,
but on a piece of paper.

 “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity;
and I'm not sure about the universe."
- Albert Einstein -

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
