About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

PLUTO - Size Doesn't Matter!

"Unless you have been,
well,
on another planet,"
to partially quote Professor Meg Urry,
Yale University,
you probably have heard
and seen photographs about the
New Horizons Spacecraft,
Pluto,
and its five moons.
Charon,
Styx,
Nix,
Kerberos,
and Hydra.
It's been all over the Internet
and the TV News all week.
I,
myself,
have been caught up in all the hoopla.
But,
then again,
this is the kind of stuff that really interest me.
I've always been a big fan of what Science can bring to mankind
and the ideas of the future from Sci-Fi.
Be it in books,
in the theater,
TV,
or even on the radio.
(I love the old radio broadcasts.
Before television was invented.)
I'm always leaning towards the optimistic viewpoints of the future from
"Futurists"
like Gene Roddenberry,
instead of the darker nature of man,
as Philip K. Dick wrote about.
This achievement by
NASA,
to flyby Pluto,
is an amazing feat,
that I believe will benefit man's understanding
and knowledge about our Solar System
and about Earth's development as a Planet.
And for those who think the money could be spent more
"Wisely?"
Think about it.
Do you really want to give back those millions of dollars to a
"Two Party System of Government,"
when one
"Party"
uses filibusters to constantly block any legislation
and reforms by the other
"Party"
because that
"Party"
is led by a
"Black President?"
If they got that money back
and split it among the 50 States,
including Puerto Rico,
we would still have no water in California.
We would have more funds for an under estimated,
budgeted,
68 billion dollar,
"Bullet Train System,"
from San Diego to Sacramento by the year 2029.
Our first
"Desalination Plant"
opens in 2016.
It took,
from the 1970s,
when the idea was first proposed,
to until 2016,
for California to finally get its first
Desalination Plant!
?
"The land of the perpetual drought."
?
Or do you want to use the money,
"To Explore Strange New Worlds.
To Seek Out New Life And New Civilizations.
To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before!"

This is Jim Hauenstein,

And,
Write to your local Planetary Scientist,
to let her or him know to vote for
"Pluto"
as a full fledged Planet once again!

“Pluto will always be a planet in my book. That’s because my book was published before Pluto was blacklisted by planetary scientists."
- Jarod Kintz, This Book Has No Title -

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
