fixed?

Like most of the people I talk to,

yes I believe it is.

But wait!

Let us look back in time and really think about this.

Remember the
Buster Douglas
and
Mike Tyson
fight?

At the time,

Mike Tyson
was at the height of his popularity in the sport.

He was just starting a world tour which at the time would have made a billion dollars overall.

I'm not saying
Mike
would have made a billion dollars,

but the fighters combined,

the promoters,

advertisers,

the cities the fights were to be held in,

tourism in those cities,

the
Pay Per View
telecasts,

HBO
replaying the fights,

and everyone else associated with the world tour.

There was even talk on how the tour would help the World economy.
Everyone at the time was talking about it.

Except
Mike's
handlers forgot to fix the fight in
Japan
with
Buster Douglas.

The very first fight on the world tour.

Do you really believe,

if boxing was fixed,

that whoever was in control of boxing at the time,

wanted
Buster Douglas
to beat
Mike Tyson?

And have all that money,

that was potentially there for the taking,

go down the drain?

Boxing has never recovered from that fiasco.

Sure there were a few big fights still to come,

like the
Hagler - Tyson
fight,

but nothing compares to the height of audience appeal the sport had before
Buster Douglas
beat
Mike Tyson.

Just look at who controls the
Pay Per View
audience now.

UFC & MMA.

Ultimate Fighting Championship 
and
Mixed Martial Arts.

Both,

uncivilized cage matches,

where anything goes,

and is just one step above
All Star Wrestling.

No,

Boxing
isn't fixed,

its run by idiots,

that's all.
