About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

I Haven't Changed A Bit

I wasn't in a very pleasant mood yesterday
when I pointed out two people,
out of the thirty or so,
I have helped over the years.
What I mean by helping is,
lending money,
help them find a job,
explain legal documents,
and put someone up in my home.
I shouldn't have pointed them out though.
I want to say
I'm sorry
for doing that.
Now,
with that said,
I told you I wouldn't change.
Today,
I went to recycle my
plastic bottles and cans
because I wanted a little extra money for the
Memorial Weekend.
Out of the whopping $35.00 I received.
I immediately put $20.00 in gas into my car.
While I was at the gas station
I saw these two guys pushing their car,
uphill,
towards the gas pumps.
Of course,
I helped push.
Once,
the car was next to the pump,
the youngest of the two asked if I had any spare change to give them.
I told him I was broke
and didn't have money to spare.
He got into their car.
I thought about it,
then decided,
what does it hurt to give up five bucks.
I knocked on their window,
the young guy opened the door,
and I saw this old man driving with an oxygen tank next to him.
He was being helped by a breathing machine to function in life.
I gave them the five bucks,
they all shook my hand,
asked me my name,
and said,
"God will bless you for this."
I told him,
it was the way I was brought up
and that they should pass it on.
If they see someone in need,
they should help them out.
They promised me they would.

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
