No I didn't.
I remember now.
Back in my
Catholic Grade School Days,
Catholic Grade School Days,
and hating every kneeling moment of it,
I never forgot what a
64 Year Old Nun,
Sister Adel
told the class one day.
64 Year Old Nun,
Sister Adel
told the class one day.
Yes,
she was still teaching
Geography
at an age when most people were dying.
Back in the early 1960s.
She said,
she was still teaching
Geography
at an age when most people were dying.
Back in the early 1960s.
She said,
"If your want to keep your mind sharp when you become old, start practicing now, by memorizing one thing per day instead of writing it down to remember it!"
This is around
1961,
when we didn't have a better word then
Senility
for old folks who were loosing their minds.
1961,
when we didn't have a better word then
Senility
for old folks who were loosing their minds.
This was the
Dark Ages
you know.
Dark Ages
you know.
I myself still practice this technique today,
by memorizing numbers.
I'll try to memorize phone numbers,
special days on the calendar,
and so on.
It doesn't have to be numbers.
It can be anything you like.
But it really does help you if you do it daily.
I am living proof!
But it really does help you if you do it daily.
I am living proof!
Now how many lessons did I say I was going to do?
This is,
Three!
I Said I Was Going To Do Three
And This Is The Third One!
Jim Hauenstein,
Three!
I Said I Was Going To Do Three
And This Is The Third One!
Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“Some of the best love poems have been written by monks and nuns.”

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
