About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

"Big Wow Comic Fest"

I loved my first ever experience
at a comic book convention.
It was up in
San Jose, California.
The weekend of April 18th
and 19th.
I especially appreciate all of the
Cosplayers,
who took the time,
to let me take a few photographs of them
standing with my 5 year old grandson.
He had the thrill of his young life so far.
It was two of my daughters,
myself,
and my grandson leaving around 12 midnight Friday evening,
arriving at 7 a.m.
Then spending half the day walking around the most interesting people I have met in a long time.
I really enjoyed seeing two of my favorite actors there,
Gary Graham
and
Richard Hatch.
My younger daughter got her picture taken with one of her favorite actors,
Tom Felton.
So all in all,
what a great time.
I like the town of
San Jose
too!
It is a very clean place,
with a small town atmosphere to it.
Even though there are over
9 Million People
living there.
One thing I did notice,
you can always tell the level of
Criminal Activity
in a large city,
by how many
Police Officers
arrive in a single police car.
In
San Jose,
they have only one
Officer
per car.
You wouldn't see that in
New York,
L.A.,
or even in
San Diego.
They have
Two Officers Per Car
in those cities,
because they need to back each other up,
all the time.
Because of all the violence.
One officer,
per car?
Less violence.
I like that town.
Back on topic.
For my first experience at one of these
Comic Conventions,
I was captivated by how much detail all the
Cosplayers
put into their costumes.
 It was inspiring.
I recommend that everyone should try to get out to one of these
Comic Fests
at least once in their life time.
It's well worth it.
I have a special shout-out for the
Cosplayer
who came in as
Inara Serra
from the TV show,
Firefly.
You are quite beautiful.
The costume was perfect.
And the smile was memorizing.
I hope you won the costume contest.
Well,
there you have it.
No matter how old I get,
I love to see beautiful women in costume
and experience new things.
Its what keeps me young at heart.
But chasing after my
Grandson
reminds me of how old I really am!
This is,
Wondering Which Doctor Who Character I Should Dress Up As,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go out and greet those wonderful creatures and say a few nice words in a language invented by Tolkein. I've practiced, but I sound like Chewbacca making a New Year's speech.”
- Nina George, -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
