About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

I'm Papillon!

I sent my sister this photo of me next to my new car,
pointing at the
Mercedes Benz Emblem,
with a statement underneath.
"You wish!"
She sent me an email back stating,
"You look good Jim, real good."
Or something close to those words.
That is when my brain went into overtime.
After I read those words,
all I could think about was the scene from the movie
"Papillon"
starring
Steve McQueen.
Still one of the coolest
Movie Stars
of all time.
When the main character,
Papillon,
stuck his head out of a prison door window for roll call,
he asked the prisoner next to him,
"How do I look?"
The guy next to him takes one look at
Papillon,
and winces.
But kindly says to him,
"You look good, real good."
That's when
Papillon
new he was dying.
Because he had done the same thing to the prisoner next him when he was first jailed ten years before.
Of course,
that prisoner soon died.
So
Papillon
started exercising everyday,
until he was healthy enough to escape from prison.
Well,
that is what I am going to do now!
Not trying to escape from prison,
but exercising.
Hiking two miles in the morning

and two miles in the evening.
No push ups though,
no sit ups,
no curls,
no squatting,
no touching my toes,
no...............?
Sorry,
never mind.
I'm dead.

This is,
Believing That If I Am Thinking About Exercising,
Then I Am Exercising,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Even if you have to walk fast for 30mins, five days a week, by all means do so. Never make excuses to why you don't have the time to work out. Your body deserves to enjoy the taste of a good health. Never settle for less.”
- Edmond Mbiaka -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
