Okay,
let's get something straight right away.
I'm a purist as far as music goes.
What I mean by this is,
I will listen to a song first before I will ever watch the band's video of the song.
Videos distract you from what makes a song good or bad.
A lot of major music stars use the video format to pull you in because videos are a form of entertainment all its own.
People will watch a video,
enjoy the video,
then purchase the music because it reminds them of the video they saw.
I'm the opposite.
I like to hear a song first.
To see if I can pick out all the different instruments
and to listen how each enhances the song.
Videos are secondary for me.
There is good new music all over the world
and I am tired of hearing how this decade or that decade has the best music ever.
Now to annoy mainstream pop listeners with the
Mongolian Band,
The HU is a band from Mongolia
that blends heavy metal and traditional Mongolian throat singing. Their
first two videos (“Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem”) immediately went
viral garnering the band over 100 million views.
This is,
If I Had Used Mongolian Throat Singing When I Played Live I Would Be Very Horse By Now

And,
“The only truth is music.”

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
