You might be wondering,
where have I been for the last few days.
I have been in bed breathing on my
Oxygen Concentrator.
It is a machine to keep my oxygen levels up
and hopefully,
keep me out of the hospital.
That is my explanation for my absence
or it is my excuse.
Whichever you prefer.
Whichever you prefer.
But what do I mean by,
this is my
The above is a story written in
1971
by
where the main character
George Orr
can alter the past
and present realities when he dreams.
I cannot change reality,
but sitting in front of a computer
and making up stories is my reality.
and making up stories is my reality.
The dreams I have at night,
take me on new adventures into different realms,
an I often write them down here,
on this
Blog.
I would say I am lucky in a way,
because I can usually remember the dreams I have at night.
I like to write down my dreams at the library.
Computer time there is two hours.
It gets me out of the house for awhile
but not too far away from my little corner of the world.
My corner of the world consists of my bed/couch,
my oxygen concentrator,
nebulizer,
cpap,
a variety of prescriptions,
vitamins,
and
minerals.
I am not bed ridden,
I just have to be careful.
I read a lot,
watch
and love to write.
I love the adventures I take when I'm involved in writing a new
Short Story,
or
Flash Fiction,
Poetry,
writing a
Post,
or writing a
Novel.
I just finished a
65,000
word story about a
Wizard
that my sister is editing.
I cannot change reality like
George Orr,
but when I dream up a fictitious story,
my mind takes wonderful adventures in many of these realities.
When writing,
I create something from nothing,
and that is where I find some of my happiness in this world.
My main source of happiness,
is of course,
my kids,
their kids,
and in one case,
their kid.
(I'm a Great Grandfather.)
All of them have their own lives to live so to occupy my time,
I write this
Blog
and put a lot of stories for everyone to read.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy writing them.
And I promise to try
and not get sick anymore this year!
and not get sick anymore this year!
My Lathe Of Heaven,
Jim Hauenstein,
And,
知止乎其所不能知,至矣。若有不即是者,天鈞敗之。
- Chuang Tzu -
"To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood is a high attainment. Those who cannot do it will be destroyed on the lathe of heaven."
That is my story and I am sticking to it!
