About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

I Practice What I Preach

I guess this has been bothering me for awhile.
So,
I to clear up my mind so I can concentrate on some
Fiction
I want to write.
Today I have to talk about the
Real World,
and not the
MTV Show
that is scripted beforehand,
against the
TV World.
I was watching
last night.
A show that I really like.
Which is unusual for me because it is another medical show.
Ever since I was growing up there has been two kinds of standard
Television Programs
that
Networks Channels
first adhered to,
then
Cable Companies
got into,
and finally
Satellite Providers
followed suite to provide.
(Excuse the pun.)

Medical Dramas
and
Police Dramas.
 The first medical drama on
TV
aired in 1951 called
Image result for city hospital tv drama from 1951
There have been hundreds of shows ever since.
The first police drama on
TV
aired in 1949 called
Image result for stand by for crime
Also,
there have been hundreds of crime shows since.
My only problem is,
they do not depict the real world.
The sensationalize everything for heighten drama.
The last time I was in my local
Hospital
a sick homeless person was admitted into the
ER
and stabilized.
He was quickly transferred downtown to a
City Hospital
that is required by law to treat everyone even if they can't afford to pay for services.
Life is not like
Medical Television Drama
on
TV
where every
Hospital
and every
Doctor
are interested in curing every patient.
They are each a business in themselves,
out to make as much money as possible,
or they go out of business.
Don't believe in the
Television Hype.
Be your own advocate about your
Medical Needs.
Ask questions.
Search the internet.
Get a second opinion.
TV is not the real world where everyone is on the top of their game.
Remember,
there once was a
Doctor
who graduated head of his class
and there once was a
Doctor
who graduated last in his class.
Not saying the one last in his class is a bad
Doctor.
The
Doctor
who graduated first in his class could be so arrogant that he thinks he is never wrong
and never sees the mistakes he is making.
It is up to you to
Question Everything.
For your own good health.
I'm not going to get into
Police Dramas
and how most of the stuff you see on
TV
about forensics is mostly false.
If they used that much
Forensics
for every crime committed,
the
Police Department's
budgets would be as high as the military's!
If you are a conspiracy theorist,
you will find my story
interesting.
It explains how
Television
and
Movies
are used to give the public a false hope of security.

This is,
 Yes,
I Practice What I Preach,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Isn’t it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do “a practice”?”
- George Carlin -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
