About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Glieseians Are Coming Home For A Visit

"Sir, there are no replies to any of our laser communication beams." Said Demetri-1597. A tall, hairless, six foot seven inch, Communication's Officer.
He is relaying his findings to the ship's Captain. Also a hairless, six foot seven inch, human decedent.
All of the ship's crew are hairless and six foot seven inches. The mandatory height of all female and male inhabitants of the planet Gliese 581c.
They arrived to Earth, from planet Gliese 581c, which is now their home-world. The first group to send scientific emissaries back to Earth after colonizing a new planet.
Originally, there were three Cryogenic Colonizing spacecraft sent out to three different planets. When the New Earth Space Ship landed on Gliese 581c, the on-board computers immediately woke up the two thousand five hundred volunteers, who came from all walks of life. These humans constructed a planet in the image of Earth. From the plant seeds they brought along with them, to the animals cloned from storage facilities holding their genome.
To preserve precious supplies and to establish a surviving colony on the strange new world the humans inhabitants reassembled the spacecrafts labs and facilities in the community housing at first, then into the factory buildings, which came after the people thrived. It was decided before the craft ever left the Earth, that all births would be genetically manipulated, so all new Gliese 581c beings would have an equal chance of survival. It was thought to be the best way the colonists could multiply safely.
And thrived they did. One billion, tall, hairless, six foot seven inch beings now inhabit the planet Gliese. With the inhabitants calling themselves, Glieseians.
Now, with almost 400,000 years gone by, measured by the Gliese 581c's orbit around its star, the Glieseians decided to find out what had happen to the other two colony spacecraft, which were bound to new worlds in our galaxy, and the inhabitants of Earth.
Glieseian's Governing Council has never heard a word from either. Even though, with laser communications technology, it would still take thousands of years for a message to reach back and forth.
With their breakthrough in wrap drive engines, it was now faster to go to these places, instead of waiting for a laser communication's reply.
"Captain, the sensors show heat signatures and life signs of many different creatures. But, as far as human life as we speculated it would have evolved into, there is nothing to be seen."
Captain Admetus-290 listens to his Chief Biologist, Minaj-444568, and wonders, as do all the crew, how accurate the predictions of human evolution could be? Would Earthlings genetically change every new birth to be like Glieseians, as the scientists back home have predicted? Or, would the two class system have destroyed the planet, like the Glieseian speculative Doomsayers and Philosophers have proclaimed.
He makes a decision. Someone will have to go down to the planet. The problem is? The Earth's gravitational pull on the Glieseian body will be much less than their home world's. All the genetic manipulation of newborns took this fact into consideration and after one generation led to the next, that manipulation was no longer needed to be included. It was ingrained into the Glieseian genome.
But now, landing on surface of the Earth, will this have its own physical problems for his crew members. Will they be exhibiting extraordinary strength on the planet? Or, will the effect of less gravity have other consequences on their bodily systems that the scientists back home have not yet considered, since this is the first flight out of their own solar system, to a habitable planet.
"Captain, the planet's atmosphere has change since the last recordings were taken before the original colonists left Earth for our home. It consists of 71.31% nitrogen, 27.22% oxygen, .8% water vapor, .64% argon, and .03% carbon dioxide." Minaj-444568 told him. "Nothing like the green house effect of 1% carbon dioxide, when our ancestors left the planet."
"OK, set our timers to the Earth rotation around their Sun so we can sink up the days, hours, and minutes uniformly across the ship's computers and the landing party." Barks the Captain. "I don't want anyone down on that planet for more then 2 hours tops, Earth time. Make preparations Commander. I want your best men on this mission."
   "Aye Aye Captain."
After one hour of preparations, one hour to safely fly down to the planet, and two hours of looking for human activity on the surface, the search party heads back to their spacecraft, reporting they have found nothing which they would call human beings. What ever happened here on the planet Earth, thousands of years ago, wiped out all traces of Earthlings.
After five more landing parties, countless shuttle crafts fly-overs of the planet's surface, Captain Admetus-290 decides it is time to head to their next objective, Wolf 1061c. The planet that the New World Spacecraft was headed to on its trip to colonize that world.
"This is my personal recommendation being recorded on the ship's log. Since time is a pressing issue on our mission. By traveling to three different planets. I highly recommend sending an archeological team in the near future to see if they can excavate any last known locations of cities on Earth, to find out what happened to its population. We are now heading to our second objective with no clear answers to what happened to the human population on Earth."
As the spacecraft leaves the Earth's orbit, a medicine-man carves into a cave wall, what he depicts as supernatural beings, sent down by the Gods as guardians for the protection and prosperity of his tribe. As time goes on, these guardians will be nicknamed, the Greys.

And,

"Do you ever wonder if--well, if there are people living on the third planet?" Asked his wife.
"The third planet is incapable of supporting life," stated the husband patiently. "Our scientists have said there's far too much oxygen in their atmosphere."
