About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Give Well

I have talked about giving to your favorite
Charity
many times on this
Blog.
Like
and so on.
There are many more articles
but these are the first ones that came to mind.
If you didn't know this before,
"All Charities Are Not Created Equal!"
I would name a few which actually have high cost of running their organization,
that at least a quarter of the money collected goes to pay for executive bonuses
and expenditures.
You might not think that is much
but when the highest grossing charity has over
$3.919 Billion
in revenue,
bonuses for executives are in the millions!
I wonder if they are giving back?
I don't want to name any because if you are giving to these
Charities
and you don't care what happens to your money,
at least you are still giving.
Otherwise,
I have a solution for you.
"GiveWell is an American non-profit charity assessment and effective altruism-focused organization. GiveWell focuses primarily on the cost-effectiveness of the organizations that it evaluates, rather than traditional metrics such as the percentage of the organization's budget that is spent on overhead."
I figured getting a little help from
Wikipedia
might convince you on the authenticity of
GiveWell.
Don't take my word for it.
Check out their website for yourself.
Then maybe the next time you give,
your hard earned dollars will go that much further.

 This is,
Giving As Much
And As Well As I Can
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”
-
John Bunyan -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
