About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Observing

It is a peaceful Saturday morning,
I just took my 4 mile morning walk,
and I want to point out a couple of things that I've noticed.
First,
I would like to say
"Hi"
to my two cousins out in Las Vegas who have recently heard about my Blog
and who have volunteered to put up with my rantings on all things in life.
One signed up as a follower!
Thanks for hopping on board the "Crazy Train."
Secondly,
I want to point out the friendliness of people who do morning walks,
jog,
or bicycle riding.
I don't know how it is in your part of the country,
but here in Southern California,
people are a little more friendly while exercising,
then say,
driving their vehicles
or while shopping at a grocery store.
It reminds me of my youth when you would be driving your motorcycle
and other cyclists would wave to you going by.
It was a comradely among motorcyclists.
It's not that prevalent any longer.
The next time I felt the same comradely was with Snowmobile Riders.
Not a lot of them out there,
so when you saw one you would say hi.
I'm sure places like Alaska,
have a lot more riders then where I was from.
Maybe it's just me,
but I think people like to see other people doing the same hobbies as them
and are a little more keen to openness,
friendliness,
and the willingness just to say hi to someone.

This is Jim Hauenstein,

And,

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
