About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

It Was Surreal

One true story.
Brian Kroske,
who was one of my closet friends during the 1980s
and the drummer in the band
Politixs,
which I was also in,
went out with me one night to a bar.
The place was crowded.
We had few beers
and were about to leave the place when a fight broke out.
Brian
and I were in the back of the place
and we could see,
throughout the bar,
the chain reaction of fights spilling over into other groups.
We knew we had to get out of there before the
Police
arrived.
I was 6 feet tall,
200 pounds at the time.
Brian was 5 foot 10 inches,
weighing in at 230 pounds.
I got behind him watching our rear for an attack as he punched his way through the bar for the front door.
With
Police Sirens
blaring,
us punching our way out,
all of a sudden on the junk box as loud as possible could be,
the song
Ballroom Blitz
came on by
The Sweet!
It was
Surreal.

This is,
Remembering The Glory Days
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Rebel children, I urge you, fight the turgid slick of conformity with which they seek to smother your glory.”
- Russell Brand -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
