I have to get this off my chest.
I know personal events in my life is not why you come to this
Blog
to read.
But,
if I have a thought on a subject,
it stays with me until I can express it in some way.
Maybe my
Blog
is part therapeutic for me in that way.
On my way back from vacation I stopped at a friend's house in
Arizona
to say hello to him
and his wife
and take a little break from the tedious drive.
I was with my son
and grandson.
My grandson was getting over the flu
and I didn't want them to get affected from him so he stayed in the car.
My son went inside the couple's home with me
and we began to talk.
I introduced my son to the couple stating that;
"He is my oldest living friend. He has seen me at my worst and at my very best."
Which I was hoping came across as,
this person has been my friend through
Thick Or Thin.
I have known this person for over
48 Years.
Then,
out of nowhere,
he starts in on me about how I committed
Fraud
using his name thirty years ago!
In front of my son.
Of course I denied the accusations
and wondered where this was coming from.
If you have a beef with me why wait thirty years to confront me?
The worst part,
why do it in front of my son trying to make me look like a jerk.
No matter what I said I could tell by his self righteous attitude,
the condescending looks he was giving me,
and the sarcasm in his words,
that he believed I was the culprit behind the fraud.
First,
I would never do that to any friend,
and second,
I don't think like a criminal so I wouldn't even know how to commit that kind of fraud.
So we left.
My family is the most important dynamics in my life.
I brought up all my kids to be honest,
good people.
I am proud to say I have succeeded in that area.
I never have to worry that the police will come calling accusing one of my kids of criminal activity.
So,
adios to my one time friend.

“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”
