About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a weekly basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Fighting Off Genetically Engineered Mutants Who Are Not Turtles

It was a close one today
Boys and Girls.
What was?
You could be asking yourself right now.
Could it be,
that I am talking about the overdue
Earthquake
 that all the noted
Seismologist
 have predicted for
California?
Which will probably make my back yard,
Beach Front Property.
I am about 35 miles
East
of the
Pacific Ocean.
So if it happens,
that will be a huge
Quake.
Or,
could it be,
that I am talking about the hazards of living in a
Trailer Park.

Right in the smack dab middle of
Tornado Alley?

What I believe it is,
that is to say,
if my instincts haven't failed me yet,
and I'm pretty sure they haven't,
that
Aliens,
from another
Planet,
had spotted me driving around town,
and have decided that I am a really good specimen to probe!
Of course,
if that were truly the case,
I was probably in a high speed chase with the
Aliens.
Where I would be driving my
Mercedes,
and the
Aliens
could have been buzzing overhead in a
Flying Saucer!
Then I would have had to fight off the genetically engineered
Mutants
before being captured.
Which are the
Slave Robots
of the
Warlord Proxima,
from the Star system,
Alpha Centauri.
He used his
Amnesia-Sleep-Inducing-Where-Did-I-Wake-Up-This-Morning-Death-Ray
on all of the unsuspecting groups of people,
who were innocently attending some kind of
at the
The Cosplayers,
had gathered around our little ferocious melee,
probably thinking we are making a independent film for the opening day of
in
Well,
I can't confirm
or deny that last little tidbit of news because the warlord,
Proxima,
shot me himself with the
A.S.I.W.D.I.W.U.T.M.-Death-Ray
gun!
He is a good shot too!
I nary felt a thing.
If you were here,
right now,
in
San Diego,
you would not believe your eyes.
You would know my warnings are true by seeing all the different types of
Aliens
roaming the streets!
Here are a couple of the really ugly ones.
Well,
Boys and Girls,
I told you it was a close one.
It was,
really.
Because I Could Have Been Captured By One Of These Ugly Looking Aliens,
Flown To Their Home In Their Flying Spaceship,
Probably To Be Probe!

This is,
Safe And Sound Now In My Own Little World,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Cosplay. Why you just said the magic word!”
 - Danika Stone, -

Don't Call Me A Chicken!
I could have been probe!

That is my story and I am sticking to it!

102 Degrees - And I Am Not Talking About A Boy Band Here

It was a
High
of
102 Degrees
today,
in beautiful
Downtown Temecula.
Tomorrow,
it is expected to reach
102 Degrees
again.
The
Weather Forecast
for Friday says it is going to be a blistering
106 Degrees!
 Right now,
in Temecula,
at 8:30 at night,
it is a whopping,
but a comfortable whopping,
78 Degrees.
you ask?
I am not sure if
Global Warming
 is a fact
or fiction,
but there are a lot of smart people telling us it is true.
I am just a little skeptical about the accuracy of the equipment
and the people,
even 50 years ago,
keeping accurate records.
That was before anyone heard the buzzwords,
"Global Warming."
I have already started my personal campaign at home to teach the kids why it is so important to think about their future.
I do this by personally practicing some of the guidelines to
"Save Our Planet."
I have changed over to
replaced my light bulbs to
ones,
turned off my
and a few of the other things that are listed on the
website.
Why use the
State of Washington's
webpage?
Well,
when I
Googled
my question,
they were the first site to pop up.
Way to go Washington.
Now back to my original thought process of why I brought up
Global Warming.
My
Grade School Science Teacher
talked on this subject back during the middle 1960's.
The way he told it was,
"In our future, the Planet Earth will become increasingly hotter. This is due to the fact, that our Planet is overdue for another Ice Age. And if we do the research about the climate before an Ice Age, we will find that the Earth gets hotter before it gets colder."
Well,
I am not sure if my
Science Teacher
knew much more than was explained to us in our
Science Books.
That is sort of what I mean about
Global Warming.
Would my
Science Teacher
today,
believe the
World
was about to
End
if he were alive today,
with the same type of
Knowledge
he had during the
60's?
There are a lot of
Doom Sayers
in our everyday
Media
telling us daily that we are all going to die.
But,
if I can recycle that one can of soda I drank today,
maybe I'll be the one who can claim,
"I saved the World!"
Wait,
damn.
I left the can of pop,
out in the Park,
on a picnic table.
With that whole bag of non-fluorescent bulbs
and regular charcoal burning on the grill.
Oh,
and that plastic six pack holder,
where it keeps your soda together, so you won't loose any of it,
but is really bad for the fish?
I threw that in the river by my house
and snagged three nice
Perch
in those same holders.

This is,
Going To Clean Up My Act First And Then I Will Save The Planet,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“If we take all this actions and if it turns out not be true, we have reduced pollution and have better ways to live, the downside is very small. The other way around, and if we don’t act, and it turns out to be true, then we have betrayed future generations and we don’t have the right to do that.”
- Tony Blair -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!

P.S. Before any Annotators want to rant about my little humor on the end of this Post, I already know that "Global Warming" is no laughing matter. But my Blog is not going to rally the troops behind this cause, if they are not behind the cause already. I am conscious about the facts of Global Warming and I try to do as much as I possibly can daily. If you don't believe me? Ask any gas station attendant in your local neighborhood and ask them if they ever saw me, going through their trash on Sunday morning, looking for aluminum cans. That's me!

This Anonymous Comments On My Blog

Anonymous
has reared its ugly head again!
Let me clarify.
I am not talking about the hacker group called
I actually like those men
and women who take on hate groups like
ISIS
 and the
Ku Klux Klan.
Even though those two hate groups are
Worlds
apart,
both of them use the same type of misinformation
and terror tactics to get the power over others that they so crave.
I like the real
Anonymous
because I feel they have a purpose in this
World.
I feel that they have demonstrated restraint,
by not using their skills as a
Weapon
against
Normal,
Blue Collar,
Everyday Living People.
Generally,
they go after the
Oppressors
in life.
These
Oppressors
could be a
Ruler
of a
Country,
Corporation,
or of a
Military.
The real
Anonymous
takes on these
Tyrants
of the
World
while leaving the
General Public
alone.
The
Anonymous
I am talking about is the person who leaves
Comments
on one of my
Blog,
but doesn't want anyone to know who he is.
That is perfectly fine.
Everyone should have an opinion on
World Affairs,
Local Politics,
 and
National Politics.
Because,
what goes on in the
Political World,
either
Locally,
Nationally,
or
Worldly
has a profound effect on all our daily lives.
On my Post;
this
Anonymous
said;
"And the Clinton foundation hasn't taken contributions from foreign nations, OK."

I do hope that this
Anonymous
will do some research before making any future accusations without any facts to back up his or her claim.
He or she believes that if
Donald the Stump
is getting away with taking money contributions from
Foreign Country's,
surely the
Democrats
are doing the same thing?
All
Politicians
are criminals,
right?
This is the kind of pessimistic attitude that we have to work on as a
Nation.
This pessimist,
Anonymous,
believes that the
World
is going to
Hell
in a hen basket.
Donald Stump
says these crazy things because he is an
Egomaniac.
He already believes that he is above the law,
Untouchable.
Think how he would react to the
World
around him if he became
President?

This is,
Believing That The Time That We Are Living In,
Is Still A Wonderful Time In History,
To Be Born In,
Grow Up In,
Live In,
And Grow Old In,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Believe. No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted island, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.”
- Helen Keller -

Pokemon At The Duck Pond

If you have been driving past your favorite Park
or sandlot lately,
you might have noticed something unusual.
Large groups of people,
carelessly staring at their cellphones,
while taking a walk.
No,
their cellphones are not turning these people into
Zombies.
These people are all playing the newest craze in
Game Apps.
It is called;
I,
myself started noticing the phenomena during my
Summer Vacation.
Even in my
Hometown
of
Temecula, California,
the
has hit the young
and old alike.
We have a nice
Park System
here in town.
Maybe not as glamorous as the
Midwest
or
East Coast
might have,
but we make do with what is here.
One of the nice little features of our
Park System
is the
Duck Pond.
Where yes,
ducks swim around on the pond all day long,
waiting for someone like me,
to throw them a piece of bread as a free meal.
But yesterday was a first for me.
I reckon,
I saw at least one hundred people out in the
Park on Sunday!
And most of those people were doing the
Head-Down-Pokemon-Walk.
I'll admit,
my kids play it too,
and of course,
I had to take a
sneak-a-peak
at what the game is all about.
I hate to say this though,
but I might be a little too old to get any kind of enjoyment from the game.
Yet,
now that I think about it,
the demographics the creators were shooting for was probably not the
Sixty and Older
Crowd!

Rock Star Syndrome

This is how my train of thought goes.
In my
Post
from a couple of days ago,
I talked about my
"Glory Days"
with some of my
Band Mates
from years gone by.
How I was invited by
The Professor
from
Bowie State University in Maryland,
to participate in an impromptu jam session
but was unable to go.
This got me to thinking about how it felt to be on stage in front of any size crowd.
The
Rock Star Syndrome.
That got me to thinking about a time in my life where I felt like a
Rock Star
for the very last time.
During the 1990's I owned season tickets to the
football team.
On one occasion I took my wife to a game.
Before the game started,
The Marine Corps
 from
were outside the stadium demonstrating equipment
and showing off some of the larger vehicles of war.
Just inside the entrance to the stadium,
in the common area,
there stood a
Tank.
It was guarded by
five or six
Marines.
Luckily for me,
they recognized me from working on
Camp Pendleton.
They started yelling,
"Hey, there's Jim. Hi Jim!"
They waved
and yelled
and I waved back.
All around the area people were staring at me wondering who I was.
Was I a celebrity,
a person of prominence,
or maybe a
Rock Star?
It was crowded too!
People stared at me
and talked about me all the while I was walking to my seat.
It was the last time that I felt like a
Rock Star!
Thank you
Marines.

This is,
I Wouldn't Tell You This Story If It Wasn't True,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

"Having rock-star problems may be the closest I ever get to being an actual rock star." - Cassandra Clare, -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
