About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Listening Courageously

I was listening to
Rudyard Kipling's
in my car today,
while I was waiting for my son to get out of school.
I have this new app called
which is associated with the
County of Riverside Library System.
It's a great app for taking out
eBooks
and
MP3 Recordings
from your favorite
Library.
And,
just like taking out a regular book from your
Library,
you can get these
eBooks
and
MP3s
for a two week period.
My only problem is,
most of the
eBooks
and
MP3s
are geared for
Young Adults.
Stuff like the
and
series of books.
So I went to my local
Library
to ask,
"What I can do?"
The lady behind the help desk told me to get a
Library Card
from all the surrounding
Counties
and your selection will quadruple!
So that is my goal.
Of course,
there are many apps out there that offer audio-books,
but all the free books are dated.
If you want anything new,
you have to pay for them.
And if you know me,
I only like
Free Stuff.
Case in point.
I am listening to
Captains Courageous.

Cannot Find The Time To Read?
Listen Courageously
To An Audio-Book,
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“Where are the fish, though?"
"In the sea they say, in the boats we pray," said Dan, quoting a fisherman's proverb.
- Rudyard Kipling, -

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
