Yesterday I mentioned how I am beginning to hate
American Football.
It is because the
New England Patriots
are in the
Superbowl
for the eleventh time in their history.
Winning five of them.
But I am a little fickle.
(I never thought I would ever use that word in my lifetime.)
If my favorite team,
the
were constantly in the
Superbowl
I probably wouldn't mind at all.
They call
Green Bay Title Town
because the
Packers
have won
13 Championships.
Nine championships
before the
NFL & AFL
merger
and four
Superbowls
since.
I don't like dynasties.
I want to see different teams in the
Championship Game
year after year.
But I know it has a lot to do with coaching.
That is why the
Superbowl Trophy
is called the
Vince Lombardi Trophy.
I feel that
Bill Belichick,
the
Patiots
head coach,
is the best coach in the
NFL
today.
When he finally retires he might be known as the best ever.
Even though his team
and his quarterback are known for
Cheating.
But,
with so much at stake,
I believe what
the former
Major League Baseball Player
said is true with former
and today's
Professional Athletes.
"If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying!"
This is,
I Wonder How Bill Belichick Would Fare Against Vince Lombardi In Head To Head Competition?
Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“I love coaching football, and winning a Super Bowl was a goal I’ve had
for a long time. But it has never been my purpose in life. My purpose in
life is simply to glorify God. We have to be careful that we don’t let
the pursuit of our life’s goals, no matter how important they seem,
cause us to lose sight of our purpose. I coach football. But the good I
can do to glorify God along the way is my real purpose.”
