About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Here Are The 5 Best Posts Of February, 2016

I know what you are going to say.
"Two Buck, the Earth's rotation is uneven, the days are growing longer at an alarming rate of about two thousandths of a second per century, and the rate at which days are lengthening also increases over time. A normal day has 86,400 seconds, but in the atomic time scale 1 second is not defined as one 86,400th of the time it takes Earth to rotate around its axis but rather as the time it takes a Cesium-133 atom at the ground state to oscillate precisely 9,192,631,770 times. This is why we need Leap years. To keep our modern day Gregorian calendar in alignment with the Earth's revolutions around the sun. It takes the Earth approximately 365.242189 days – or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 45 seconds – to circle once around the Sun. This is called a tropical year, and is measured from the March equinox. However, the Gregorian calendar has only 365 days in a year, so if we didn't add a leap day on February 29, this year and every four years after, we would lose almost six hours off our calendar every year. After only 100 years, our calendar would be off by around 24 days! So, you can't say, "Here Are The 5 Best Posts of February, 2016," because you have one more day and tomorrow's Post could be a doozy!"
See,
I knew exactly what you were going to say.
But too bad.
I'm starting the
"Hauenstein Calendar,"
and instead of adding an extra day every four years,
I'm going to add to my wind up time piece,
.0136986301369863 hours per day,
.1315068493150685 minutes per day,
.1232876712328767 seconds per day,
and we'll be just fine.
We won't need a
Leap Year
any
longer.
So,
without further ado,
"Here Are The 5 Best Posts Of February, 2016!

The shocking, but humorous, true story of how Warner Bros. (They are the ones who change all their logos to Bros.) are changing the Scooby Doo franchise into a bunch of Super Heroes and the Doo getting an Bionic Eye!

A very serious story about someone I know who's cancer was once in remission but has come back. Please, if you can, help by donating to his Go Fund Me page, and maybe we can save, at least one victim at a time. Until there is a cure.

A mysterious phenomenon on how Celebrities and Commercials influence our buying power. I know it happens, but for me, it never worked. I've been watching, and enjoying, those GEICO commercials for years, but I still went with the cheaper, with better coverage, auto insurance.

An insane idea, that if we let computers do our driving for us, without us having any control over the computers, that Cyber Terrorism will not take advantage of the situation, and cause major accidents during rush hour on our highways with a Cyber Bomb!

Número Uno:    "Theory Of Obscurity"
A Post about my fascination with the Avant-garde Rock Band,
A picture tells a thousand words!

One Post gets the Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award for being in a category all its own.

Número Uno Música: "El Salvador"
A music video that will get your
Political Juices
going!
I wonder if the rock band
will ever get the chance to backup
on stage one day?

This is,
A proud groupie of the bands Two Buck Howie With The Exact Change and The Residents,
Jim Hauenstein.

And,

“Some guy said to me: Don't you think you're too old to sing rock n' roll? I said: You'd better check with Mick Jagger.” - Cher -

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Please give if you can to the Michael Belcher cancer fund.
