About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Holy Weekend!

Today is
Sunday,
Easter Sunday
 in the
House Of Hauenstein.
I may not follow a strict
Religious
regimen these days of going to
Church
or practicing a faith like
Christianity.
It stems from a background of an
Irish Mother
who wanted to have a
Priest
in the family,
like all good
Catholic Irish Families,
and having her two oldest children going to an
Catholic School.
Six days out of the week,
my brother and I had to go to
Church.
During the week,
we had to go before school started.
We were both
Alter Boys.
But it was a tumultuous time for the
Catholic Church
in the late 1960's.
Let us just say,
that the
Church
 had,
has,
and always will have
Skeletons In Their Closet.
Since it is a
Holy-day,
even though I don't practice a particular
Religion,
I do have my own faith that I follow.
So,
part of that faith is spending time with my family on occasions like today.
Even if it kills us.
Besides,
said it best in their lyrics from the song
Counting Stars.
"Everything that kills me makes me feel alive."

Since
Saint Mary's Grade School,
the grade school my brother
and I attended is no longer open,
I have the distinction of being the only grade schooler ever to be suspended twice!

The other distinction of this
Holy Weekend
is,
I moved from the great state of
Wisconsin
to
California
on
Good Friday
in the year of our
Lord,
1989!

This is,
Wishing Everyone A Happy Easter
Jim Hauenstein,

And,

“EASTER HAS BEEN CANCELED - THEY FOUND THE BODY”
- Jim Butcher,-

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
