About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a weekly basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

No One Has Commented As Yet

Today is Sunday.
Traditionally,
the day which my Blog is viewed the least amount of times.
(Not Actually My Numbers.)
I don't mind.
Over the last couple of years,
Sunday
has been pretty consistent on having the least amount of viewership.
This means,
it is not because that the
is upon us.
It means that people are actually spending time with
Family & Friends.
Doing stuff around their houses.
Or going to a movie.
Things,
that if you have a job
or go to school during the week,
most often,
you don't have the time to do them.
Keep It Up.
Spending time with loved ones
and spending time doing the things you love,
are what the
Weekends
are made for.

I would also like to say,
I got back out there today.
Hiking
one of the many
with one of my daughters
and my grandson.

Yes,
it does mean I'm
Up & Running
again in good health.
If you have read some of my Posts,
when I first came back from being ill,
you might have seen in my words
A Bitterness & A Grouchiness.
Sorry about that.
I guess not breathing can put some people in a bad mood.
It does to me!
I'll try not to let it come out in my writing again.

Yellow Headed Blackbirds. The Most Evilest Birds Known!

"Mom, Dad, what are you doing here? Oh, you've brought my no-good, no-longer best friend Jarrod with you. What are you all doing here?"
   Jerome's mother speaks first.
"Son, can't you see what you are doing to yourself? You don't go to work, you don't come over to the house, and you never leave your apartment. What is going on?"
"Do you see my potted tree on the patio over there? Those are Yellow Headed Blackbirds. They are the most evilest of birds known to man. They kill other birds for sport, they'll even gang up on larger prey, like mammals, and peck away until they have killed it." The agitated Jerome breaths heavily, then continues. "I can't leave my apartment because as soon as I do, I'll be attacked by them! Because I have made it my cause to annihilate them all!"
"Do you hear yourself son." This time Jerome's father speaks up. "You're talking madness here. We just want what is best for you. We just want you to come home with us for awhile so we can take care of you."
"Dad, I'll be putting you and Mom into danger."
   Now Jarrod butts in.
"Jerry, why don't you listen to your parents. If what you say is true, hiding out at their house for a few days might breakup the blackbirds who are watching you. Maybe they'll loose track of you."
   "I don't know," say Jerome.
"Jerome," his mother says sternly. "I am your mother and how could you think I would want anything to happen to my son? Please, just come home for a few days so I can fatten you up."
Jarrod adds, "I'll run out to the car ahead of you, make sure there are no birds around your parents car, and make sure the door is opened when you come running out."
"Yeah, that might work. Yeah. Yeah, I'll do it."
Jarrod runs over to the car, goes to the driver's side and gets in the car. From the front porch, all three can see Jarrod unlocking the passenger's side door.
"Come on son, go for it." His father says.
Jerome runs from his front door, past his parents, reaching their car in a matter of minutes. As soon as he reaches for the door handle, Jarrod locks the door. A stunned Jerome turns around and sees that his parents haven't left the front porch of his apartment.
"Mom, Dad, what is going on?"
   His Mother speaks up.
"It is the only way son, it is the only way."
In seconds, a thousand Yellow Heads descend upon him, with one extra large bird coming from behind the car to snip his Achilles's tendon on his left leg, crippling him from running away. Each bird pecks away at clothing, then skin, then the insides of Jerome until a grayish stack of bones lie once where a man stood.
"Its the only way son." Says his father, as the large Yellow Head lands on his shoulder and watches the proceedings with Jerome's parents.

I'll Be Saving $3,800.00 Dollars A Year By Doing These Things

I'm going to make this short
and sweet tonight.
Do you really need,
what some people call a
Liberal Pundit,
telling you how to save money?
No,
but I am going to do it anyways.
None of these little tricks I am doing are going to make you rich,
but if you have the time,
why not save money where you can.
Under each Two Liter Bottle Cap and in every Twelve or Twenty-Four Pack Twelve Ounce Can's there is a code. You sign up to their website, save as many points as you can by entering these codes, and you'll be able to turn them in for prizes or raffles. I've gotten headphones for my daughter, an outside speaker for a cell phone, $30.00 in e-gift cards for Walmart for free, and $20.00 in e-gift cards for Target. They have a lot more selection then what I am Posting here.
By signing up with the Bing Search engine, they also have reward points where you can cash them in for prices. I personally save up enough points so I can get 12 months free of Xbox Live for my son. I haven't paid the $50.00 a year free for Xbox Live a couple of years now.

You download a mobile app to your Android or iPhone, take a picture of your receipt from the purchases you made at Walmart, and the app compares prices from local stores to see if you got the lowest price in town. I've been using it for about three weeks now and have received about $19.00 back in savings. You are aloud to receive $600.00 a year.

4th I don't have a link here to show you what I mean, so I'll explain it. There are no more loyalties between customer and a business. If you notice, (I'll use cell phone companies as an example), these companies that are always offering great deals to new customers, knowing that most people, after they have signed up, will not leave their services for at least 5 years. (This is based on information I was given when I worked for a certain service company.) And if they can sign you in on a two year agreement over and over, it is more like tens years. Because you will get caught up in their routine of upgrading your phone. I know people who change cell phone companies every two years to get the best deal around. And now that you can keep the same phone number from company to company, there is no reason not to do this. I just went from paying over $800.00 for my Cable Service, Home Phone, Internet, 3 Cell Phones, and 2 Tablets to paying, with Tax, $497.00 for Satellite TV with the NFL Sunday Ticket, Home Phone, Internet, 4 Cell Phones, 2 Tablets and a Home Security Monitoring System.
And that price is set for
Two Years!
I'll take saving
$300 A Month
over loyalty to any company making millions that will not give back to their long time customer base.

This is,
I Know I Am Not Getting Rich By These Techniques,
But If My Calculations Are Correct,
I'll Be Saving $3,800.00 Dollars A Year By Doing Them,

Dropping Out Had Nothing To Do With Homework

Texas Teacher Creates No Homework Policy — and Parents Are Loving It!
by Diana Bruk for Good Housekeeping on MSN.com
"On August 16th, Samantha Gallagher of Fort Worth, Texas, shared a note that her daughter, Brooke, brought home from her teacher, Mrs. Brandy Young. The note announced that Mrs. Young would no longer be formally assigning homework, and that the only homework that students would have would consist of whatever they did not finish during class. The response on Reddit has been encouraging, with many users saying they wished this had been the policy back in their day. I have this vivid memory of being in kindergarten and the teacher passing out a homework assignment that was something like practicing writing a letter of the alphabet in upper and lower case inside dotted lines, one user wrote. I just started doing it when it got put on my table in front of me, and then the teacher took it and gave me a new one and said Class, can you guys tell him what kind of work this is supposed to be? and then like half the class in unison goes "HOMEWORK!" So lame."
I agree hundred percent with this
Teacher.
When I went to school,
I never brought a book home
or homework home up until I graduated from
High School.
My
Senior
year in
High School,
I only had a half a day of school because I had so many credits already accumulated.
And I was accepted into
Four Different Colleges.
That is why I always tell people who think they are so smart,
"I dropped out of more colleges then you'll ever attend!"

And The Child They Love

When you have kids, they all grow up differently.
I had one daughter, my first, who I had to wrap my arms around to keep her from running away or squirming when she got her vaccination shots as a child.
Then my fourth daughter would just sit there and stare as a nurse put the needle into her arm. Never flinching.
So when I recently came back from my vacation from Texas, I thought nothing of it when my grandson took out his mason jar of new spiders he had captured.
You see, he isn't afraid of any spider on Earth.
When his Aunts ask him to squish a spider they see, he won't do it. He will take out a mason jar, capture it, then let it go free outside.
Driving, I pretended I saw what he was showing me with a quick glance over my shoulder since he was sitting in his booster seat in the back. After that, I forgot all about it.
It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago, that I found out exactly what he was trying to show me. I know he feeds his spiders dead ants. He will kill those, but I never realized how many spiders he was feeding.
The nightmare happened when we had a forced entry by an escaped convict one night.
The convict grabbed my grandson at knife point and told me that if the police come to the door, I had better find a way to get rid of them, or he would die!
It just so happens a few days before, the community mailbox sitting in front of our house was broken into. I called the police about the incident and a Sheriff came to my door for a statement. We got along fine, shook hands when he departed, and I never expected to see him again. He was the officer who came to my door asking if I had heard or seen anything suspicious relating to an escaped convict.
We got along so well before that when I said I hadn't, he took my word for it and went on to the next house.
That is when I heard a scream. Not from my grandson, it was from the intruder.
The hand he held the knife with? It was covered with about fifty spiders. Another fifty or so were crawling all over his body.
He screamed again and pleaded for me to call back the officer, so I did.
I found out later, that this felon, would never be able to have children of his own in his life, because of all the poison released inside his body that day.
In fact, he is lucky to still be alive. The hand which held the knife to my grandson's throat, he lost part of that arm, from the elbow on down.
The police have no way of explaining what happened. But a local college professor claimed that he knew the answer.
The felon had probably hidden in some nearby bushes and when he had entered my home unlawfully, the spiders were finally taking action against him for invading those bushes.
   But I know the truth.
My grandson now has five of those glass habitats for insects and I let him collect as many ants and other bugs as he can, as feeders.
I don't need a handgun in my house and worry about break-ins anymore. I have over two-hundred brown recluse spiders living in my home and the child they love.
