Last Christmas my brother Al sent me a copy of a video he recorded of the band Uncalled Four for my Christmas present. I loved it.
Dave, Todd, Jack, and I comprised that band in 1985 and was some of the best times of my life.
(Getting married and having kids will always be my greatest accomplishment.)
I sent Electric Dave a copy of the recording so he could make copies for everyone who was in the band. What I wasn't expecting was getting five years of recordings of shows and practice sessions we did together. He also sent a beautiful letter, which he gave me permission to put up on my blog. I know it is hard to read so I'll write down one section that he wrote to me that brought a tear to my eye.
"In retrospect, signing on with you and the original lineup of Uncalled Four back in 84' was one of the best things that could have happened to me musically, because it taught me to prepare to play gigs in front of a live audience. So, thank you for inviting me along on the trip."
One of my proudest moments was reading that part.
I Love You Dave, Todd And Jack
And I Am Saying That Without Even Being Drunk

And,
“People haven't always been there for me but music always has.”

That is my story and I am sticking to it!
