About Me

My photo
Hello my fellow Politiores Troglodytes. This Blog is a collection of Posts, Poems, & Short Stories that I write on a daily basis. If you find it entertaining, informative, and controversial, then I have done my job properly. Thank goodness too, because Karma has been on my case of late. I'm supposed to bring fifty people into the fold or I'll have to give back the part of Einstein's brain I inherited. No, I'm not one of the Scientists who got a piece of his brain when he died. Karma said, "Eat this knowledge. It'll make you smarter!" The bargain I made with Karma was, if I could change fifty people into Politiores Populos, I would be rewarded with my very own Lamborghini. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Like what you're reading, then read on. P.S. Populo is Latin for people. Politiores is Latin for educated. Troglodytes is English for troglodytes. And Einstein's brain was stolen by Thomas Stoltz Harvey after his death in 1955 and eventually divvied up into 240 pieces. If you just read that last sentence, then you have just learned something and I'm just that much closer to fulfilling my commitment to Karma!

Why Should I Die? Chapter 4

Outside the Board Room doors, all along the hallway, outside the chamber's walls, and in every conceivable angle coming at the conference room, different flashes of colored lights explode in a dazzling array of beauty. To the outsider it would be a thing of beauty, if it didn't represent so much violence!
Green lights blast against reds, lavender convulses with red defenders, maroon nanobots shake into nothingness from the red guard in place.
Each House, or Royal Family, or Trustee shows his hand in this attack of taking down Jonas Van Hause by his Coat of Arms in color. With the Van Hause Coat of Arms represented by blood red. It is a giant display of the egos from these men and women battling for supremacy of the Earth, the Moon, Mars, and the mining colonies on Jupiter's moons.
As each Board Member's nanobot forms into larger bots so they can officially arrest the Chairman, Van Hause's nano-guards destroy or are destroyed in the erupting light display. Of course light is not needed in this battle of bots, but with the victor comes the spoils and it shows the childish self-indulgence, self-admiration, and self-importance each individual displays when his color shines!
Inside the Chamber there is a strange calmness and quietness in the room, when the Chairman finally asks, “And what is your proof that I am lying?”
Charles Paley attacks verbally now, hoping the two frontal attack inside the Board Room will distract the Chairman just long enough so he lets his guard down outside the Chamber Halls for that split second which could change the battle in his favor. “What proof do you have Sir? Is it not your burden to prove success? Or are we just to take your word for it?”
“I will tell you,” says Jo. “I shall reveal to you all why I know the Tempus Project is a success!”
On cue, the three factions go through the same ritual of moans and groans, with most of the silent group now joining the detractors. Very few Trustees are asking for the “respect” the Chairman heard earlier.
“I know it has and I know it will work because I am here today.”
Peter looks to his friend, a little confused, and asks, “Sir, are you telling us you are the proof?”
“Yes I am.” Jo proclaims. “Please everyone, do not stop your attacks outside these walls. As long as your nanobots are on the attack I'll be able to locate them and destroy them before I am through speaking today.”
“We shall see.” Answers Paley.
“You can't handle us all,” says Chang.
“I don't have to. I just need to hold you back until I finish my story.”
The attacks outside intensify as more Trustees participate in the assault.
“Tell us your story then, oh great one!” Says a sarcastic Paley. “Give us a reason to stop and keep you as Chairman of the Board!”
